Makita has just posted the new router on their site. Looks like we might get it here in the states sometime soon.

Makita has added several new items to their site this week, including a router kit in a MakPac with plunge base, along with a sub compact rotary hammer. Wholesale Power Tools is showing the router skin at $179 this week, so it is evidently in the channel.

So this subcompact Hdrill is going to be similar in size to the M12 fuel? With more power, obviously.
The listings for the routers are finally starting to show up at the online retailers. Currently ToolNut has the lowest price showing on the skin at $129.36.
(ToolNut has since raised their prices on both)
They also have the current low price on the XTR01T7 kit at $388.08.
Ohio Power Tool has the skin at around $150, and Wholesale Power Tool is attempting $164. Both have the kit at approx. $400.
OPT is also showing the rotary skin at $230.
Burns has it for $219
I find it somewhat disappointing that Makita has not offered a full kit package like the corded version (RT0701CX3), or at least included the dust attachments in the cordless kit. Amazon has the corded kit with all the bases and other parts listed at $189 and change, but with a soft case instead of a MakPac. If you don’t need the batteries, it looks like it would be more economical to purchase the cordless skin along with the corded kit, than to mess with the XTR01T7 kit.
