Looks nice I will replace the M12 version I use now. It is for PEX-A all we use.
wow this was unexpected and out of the blue from DeWALT. Guess they realize they need to start competing with Milwaukee. Looks cool. I wonder if it has tool connect functionality.
Wish I had a use for it,because it looks badass..
Wait a minute ,wonder if it can expand 1/4″ air hoses to except a new air fitting..? Usually we heat the hose up to get a fitting on….maybe I will buy it ??
I AM NOT, REPEAT, I AM NOT A PLUMBER!!!! but damn I need pex tools and this could be my gateway drug! By the way I hate PLUMBING…….. 9 trips to the store for EVERY FUCKING pipe I work on! Pex tools might save my life.
But to the tool… I get you’ll prolly get a day’s run time on even a black pack but why not XR? The real answer is it doesn’t need to be… no need for brushless……but….. brushless= tiny computer+ Tool Connect…… ehh ehh get where I’m going….

the !/2 and 3/4 combination crimper from Home Depot and a cutter will probably do most of what you need. Throw in some some Sharkbite or Gatorbite push on fittings and you can work wonders with it.
P.S.- I am not a plumber either!
whats the estimated price on this tool?

Arm and a dick. I think the kit M12 was retail at like $650 or something.
Pretty sure the M12 version cost me 399 and it works very well. Only problem with it is on one inch fittings it really has to work hard.
Anyone know can use for brass tube of air conditioner?

Sharkbite?!?!
Temporary repairs/mock ups and exposed fittings are the ONLY situations where these should even be remotely considered. Even then, I avoid at any cost.
In my area Pex-B is almost the only thing you see. Nice that they are adding to their line to compete though.

I saw a price structure on another site (I forget which).
It says the kit (with batteries, charger, etc.) is $459 and the bare tool is $299.
not bad especially for a specialty tool.
Looks really cool…..but ouch on price

I have a few in the house, the first of which has been on a piece of PVC for 15 years or so. it was undone 2-3 times until the length of the pipe was perfect. I like the ones with a 1/4 turn cutoff valve for use on any of the bathroom and kitchen fixtures. Nowhere near as cheap as a soldered connection, but no fear of setting a vanity or cabinet on fire accidentally.

If you were a nurse, you could use it to insert catheters.
