Considering buying the m12 power port. How quickly does it charge cell phones? How many times will it charge a phone? Is the m18 power port much better?

Unless it has changed the m18 is not a 2.1A output, it’s only 500mA. Both the new (to be released) m12 and the old m12 is 2.1A. It should charge your battery as fast as plugging it into the wall with a 2.1A power supply. I’d wait to buy until the new m12 is out, in fact I am, the price on the old one should drop(at least on the used market)…or you may find it useful to be able to charge the m12 battery, which is only possible on the new m12 power source.
The M18 power source is 2.1 amp and I much prefer it to the M12. I’d wait until the trickle charge M12 comes out.
Wish Dewalt made this ( I know they have a slide top adapter, USB ) love these m12 style batteries for many uses
