hmm….
I only saw one product. I’m guessing you will make other threads on other products or post more in this thread?

The 18g stapler, flooring nailer and 15 gauge are expected monthly after the 18g comes out, and in that order. There’s also the new concrete gun.
Think we’ll ever see a glue gun? S B&D has one and I figured it be quick to integrate to the 20V line.
glue guns seem like more of a diy thing to me than a pro thing but I agree would be easy to convert the B&D to a DeWALT.

also the wheel barrow, fan, track saw, and new bluetooth stuff. Possibly new dust collection to meet the september osha requirements.
I don’t expect any of that soon aside from the track saw.
For people who use glue guns every day, should they just replace a crappy one regularly, or hope for a higher quality solution while making use of a crappy one? Doesn’t seem much less professional than a portable little fan; especially one with the low CFM of my M18.
Man I’m happy to grow the family but the appearance of that lower strut is questionable, lol. Fits nothing else design wise I can think of from Dewalt.
One thing I’ll give them props for is not blocking the battery test like they did on the 660. Look forward to the reviews.
Yep @Hugh Jass that connection looks like garbage but should be a nice light unit like the 660, and able to stand up, so the brace is necessary for the straight magazine I guess. Pretty sure a straight 16 is coming and will likely be similar.
I was hoping for the head unit to be a little more slim compared to the other nailers.
I’m glad new tools are coming and being fully invested in Dewalt , I’ll get one or two but that 18g could have been much smaller only shooting brads, long time to wait for a simple new magazine and extended arm for straight nails……should have been much smaller
Checking out eu websites..their kits come in tstak boxes..v and vi ..I don’t buy kits so I’m wondering ,if USA kits come in tstak boxes or toughboxes ?

I have been hoping for Tstak boxes for some time now and keep getting let down. I really hope they start selling tools that way here in NA. The FlexVolt track saw is a prime example as well.
I really feel this nailer is going to let me down just like the 16ga did when comparing it to the XRP nailers. With that said, I still enjoy using the new 16ga, it’s just not as powerful. This 18ga appears the same size as the 16ga. We will see when it’s in our hands.

I think they either come in bags or blow mold cases. Not for sure though. If anything I wouldn’t mind blow mold boxes getting replaced by tstaks. Ideally I would want them to come in a tough box but that is the least likely scenario.
The strut between the clip and the unit is begging for trouble. I don’t think it will survive a roof fall.
What is the most common use for a brad nailer on a roof?

Oh crap! I thought it was a frame gun. Nevermind, what I said earlier. I should read b4 commenting.
I have used the 16g quite a bit and I like it… also, their framer isn’t too bad either. I am sure this will be an awesome gun to their lineup.
I really want to see a picture of this 18ga nailer in a Tstak. That way I can decide if I want it that way.
The 16ga fits in a Tstak, just barely.

The strut looks quite similar albeit longer to DeWalt’s sister brand.
I can’t believe how big it is…. I would almost prefer to drag a hose around and have my small pneumatic brad then that chunky nailer.
Anyone expecting it to be tiny hasn’t been paying attention. It uses the same flywheel mechanism as the 16g and framer. I’ll be the lab rat if you guys are hesitant haha I plan on ordering one as soon as it’s available for us northerners.
I was just hoping it was like the XRP nailers. The 18ga was quite a but smaller than the 16ga and they used the same flywheel mechanism.

I think this one *is* smaller than the 16g, but it’s still a battery powered nailer.
While I appreciate progress,,and will buy a couple of them…R and D really could of made the fly wheel and body much much smaller….limit the brad size to 5/8″ to 1 1/2″ ….as stated by others…it’s a brad gun ….not much effort went into this one…it’s disappointing….looks like the same size or slightly smaller…bigger isn’t always better……cmon Dewalt!
I was told by an inside source this nailer has been delayed for release in NA. The May release has been pushed back to September due to production issues.
We will see. Big bummer there if true.
Mother****er! Thanks for the update @The.Handyman but maaaan that is a major piss off if true ?. Gives me time to prioritize other purchases I guess…
Hey if they make that strut look better I’d be okay with the delay, lmao.
This new gun looks larger then the old 18gauge XRP that worked great. No reason this should have taken so long.
Just was on home depot site and the DCN680d1 is back on their website but not in stock or available yet. Based on my past experience with new tool launches by home depot about 3 weeks from today it will be available. Check the overstock section at your Home depot as that is where they keep the new stuff for upcoming promotions.
view it here “http://www.homedepot.com/p/DEWALT-20-Volt-Max-Lithium-Ion-18-Gauge-Cordless-Brad-Nailer-Kit-DCN680D1/301354095″
Damn DeWalt isn’t even going to sell the 18ga in a hard case, let alone a Tstak here in NA.
Come on man! [External image (uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com), not copied]
At $300 for the kit, what do you guys think the bare tool will run for $219?
A little off topic but Home depot has just added the Cordless Flooring Stapler DCN682M1 and 18-Gauge Cordless Narrow Crown Stapler DCN681D1 to their website.
So by Europe specs …on a couple sites…the dcn 680 will be..(compared to the dcn660)
W. -1mm (same)
L. -8mm (5/16)
H. -41mm (1.5″)
wt. same
So basically it took them like a year and 4 months to redesign a magazine they already have had on 18v tools for like 10 years.
Swell.
Hahahahahahahahahahahahaha. Major R&D investment…

That has been my thoughts all along! It’s ridiculous.
At least the lack in power when in the 16ga should equate to adequate power in 18ga.
If you think the 16g is weak you have a defective unit.
Hugh Jass wrote:

It is weak. It’s been proven on IG time and again. It cannot set 2.5″ nails in most materials and definitely can’t do it reliability.
I am comparing the dcn660 to the old XRP 16ga. I have both and a Paslode 16ga. The old XRP nailer is much stronger and easily sets 2.5″ nails.

Does it set them with a flexvolt?
I’ve never had that problem. I’ve even installed 3/4″ hardie board trim with it and that shit is hard as hell.

Not me. Dragging a hose is only one part of it. First you have to drag the compressor from the shop to the truck, then from the truck to the job site, then find an outlet, then drag out the hose, then drag the hose through the house, then you don’t have enough hose so you add another hose, then you have too much hose. When the job is done, you have to pick everything up, re-load it, take it back, and then unload it again.
I keep the cordless nailers in my truck. 1 bag to carry around. Yes, I have to find an outlet to charge batteries, but not really. I haven’t charged a battery on the job for over a year. I just put them in the truck and charge them at night. They last so long I don’t run out of charged ones.
I’m glad to see it’s coming. I think they could have gone faster, but I don’t really know what is involved in developing a tool and getting it into production.
I will say, I prefer holding a pneumatic brad nailer, but I don’t like being tied to a leash.
My favorite tool store says September for the new nailers for Canada, hopefully USA gets them sooner.

I heard August or September myself. Fingers crossed they arrive sooner.
Acmetools has the DCN680 on pre sale now expected June 01st, 2017. Put my order in will miss the hard case the 18v had however.
Pretty excited for this as well. I didn’t see a bare tool option though.
