So I’m finding that Dewalt drill bits suck, I’ve broken and bent too many now to consider them reliable for anything but drilling into cardboard and air. Who else makes a pilot point drill bit, I’m coming up with nada in searches.
Or, who makes a better alternative, and keep in mind that the whole purpose of having the pilot points was so I wouldn’t have to drill pilot holes. Any alternative needs to be good enough to drill without pilot holes…which is asking a lot probably but I’m not buying any more Dewalt toothpicks.
Depends on how much your willing to spend. Bosch and Festool have good bits on the market.
I drill pilot holes and then use dewalt twist bits. I resharpen bits as well. Only use the 3/8th and 1/2″ dewalt bits. My other bits come from Germany and are cheaper when i buy bulk packages.
I have two different sets of Irwin industrials, cobalt and then black/gold oxides with the turbo tip, those rock dude, much better than the dewalts

You’ll have better luck finding Brad point bits. Even Norseman offers those:
