I don’t have a picture of the ones I have used but I like ones that you squeeze and the blade comes out. Instead of having to hold blade out with the button

I’ve actually got a Festool one that requires you hold the blade out by the push trigger. I hate that friggin thing! One of my favorites is my Milwaukee switchback folder. Not a Big Red fan but that thing is awesome!

Not something you carry in your pocket but if you have a lot of cutting to do it’s easier on your hands

Never seen one like that before

going to be honest here, if i’m going to carry a knife around all day it better be a good one. I’m safe I’m smart and I know how to use a knife so it doesn’t have to have 50 safety features I just want it to cut when I need it too. Milwaukee fastback A+

I like the Milwaukee, the one without the blade storage. I like it thin and quick to get the blade out or close.

Rocking it old school baby ????

I’m not actually suppose to have anything sharp for another 6 months…..(stupid court orders pff) all because my therapist thinks my Milwaukee fastback is dangerous……then again it might be because I called him a %$^#in nutjob and I would shove that Dangerous Milwaukee fastback up his ass if I ever seen him on the street…….

Now, if we’re talking carry/pocket knife ….

Kershaw Ken Onion Speedsafe with half serrated blade…

I like mine. The quick access blade storage and quick blade change are nice. Not a big fan of the ones that require unscrewing a screw to access or change blades.

My first utility knife was a cheap one with a screw from Menards and after I opened it up the first time it never really worked the same. Always seemed to not work very good. I eventually had it and got a quick change one.

They all used to have screws.
Always use a nail to open them up.
Went with Irwin a long time ago.

Not a box knife, but the Milwaukee folding, easy open, knife, is the best pocket knife I’ve ever had.
These days I use it more than a box knife

I still have many many utility knives rusted over from lack of use with the screw, that’s all you could really get

did I read this correctly? You said you don’t like a FESTOOL product?

BMack37Member since Sep 2015

I had a stanley that was nice as hell but it didn’t retract, you had to take out the blade…and it only came out with a screw. I think I still have it in one of my “extras” tool boxes, it wasn’t even that old, early 2000s.

My first utility knife I owned was the screw type except with retract function lasted less than a couple months before becoming unusable.

Ha, it’s not a surprise, too much of a good thing you know?

But on a similar note, being a Milwaukee nut myself, there’s a thing or two of their products i greatly dislike as well…

Not a fan of their hand tools, pliers and stuff to that nature, they’re coming out with some hammers but I don’t know about that lol they’ve gone full out this year

So i forgot, but yeah, whatever knife i’m carrying is my utility knife, mini pry bar, screwdriver, hole enlarger, and box knife, i don’t think i’ve ever had a dedicated box knife, except that one little Stanley knife like this:  I still have it, but haven’t used it for 8 years probably

..

Now I carry the first gen Fastback knife.

I have had many knives, but always end up losing them in a year or so… that’s why i dislike carrying my Buck 110 around at work with me, i’m afraid I’ll follow my historical habit of losing it, so i use it on weekends only
