I haven’t seen a Favorite cordless power tool thread yet or at least I didn’t see it, but jimbo asking me the question when I posted my milwaukee collection “What’s Your Favorite” gave me the idea to start one. (if not already out their)
But anyways post what your favorite cordless tool is, it doesn’t have to be the tool you use all the time or the one that’s always their by your right hand just your favorite…
My favorite the Milwaukee Surge

Pretty quite and light And pretty awesome I like it because it’s one of those (night and day difference) kind of tools.
Right now my favorite is the Makita cordless sander, no cord to drag behind it or over the work piece, no extension cords to deal with, it’s awesome.

My Festool HKC55
I’m going to have to go with my Metabo 18v miter saw. Best money I have spent on any tool really.

M18 fuel screw gun

M18 Fuel Sawzall. Cut down, limbed, and sectioned a decent (20′) sized pine tree with a couple 12″ pruning blades with it just to see if it could handle it. Took a few batteries but never quit. For me it’s one of the more versatile tools.
Not out yet, or my favorite per say…….But definitely want to get my hands on one!!!![External image (uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com), not copied]

Otherwise, my new DeWalt flexvolt miter saw is awesome so far.[External image (uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com), not copied]

My favorite is my Dewalt DCF887 impact
I use my cordless impact the most but my favorite is the Milwaukee M12TM copper tubing cutter. What can I say…I hate prepping copper and this thing cuts that time half.

That is a cool tool I don’t do copper too often but when I do I love it… sounds like a Dos Equis commercial

Does put a smile on my face, but if Chris gave me his Festool HKC55 I am pretty sure that would be my favorite cordless tool 🙂
Love my Hilti impact driver and my snap on 7.2v screw guns or 1/4 impact nice small and just enough power ,about the size of a small pistol and when you hit the trigger the guns will turn as the motor spins they are strong for the volts they will screw in long wood screws into hard wood or self tapping metal screws not great for drilling holes in metal but can and wood and batteries last awhile and charge in about 30 min or less. The Hilti is a beast about all I can say so is the drill but are so heavy.
As for most people picking a favorite tool is probably a very difficult decision. I would have to pick my DCF887 because of the one feature not many like that I so happen to really like (Precision drive mode).
I have a pretty complete set of Milwaukee M18 stuff from drills to flashlights to portaband and a few Bosch cordless tools as well.
Bigger has always been better with me. But last year I bought a tool only right angle 12 volt Milwaukee drill since I had batteries and chargers for my Milwaukee jackets. I liked it so much I bought this little bad boy. When running screws in wood projects the M18 impact is just too much and the drill is too bulky. This thing is just right.
I need to look at more 12 volt stuff.
Dewalt DCF895 by far! The chuck is easier to use than the dcf887 and the three speeds help you dial it in to the job. I’ve got an assortment of chucks and adapters to help it do all sorts of things it wasn’t exactly designed to do.
The one I have the most fun with is the DCN660. A fantastic nailer that’s easy to use.
Otherwise DCD791 is the drill I reach for the most, compact but lots of power!
I fell in love with my cordless brushless makita angle grinder have used it quite a bit idk hard to decide between my grinder and impact ?

Pics almost a year old shes a lot more battle tested now.
887 like it so much I have a spare and my backup to my backup is an 886…. hummm to think of it why do I have 2 backups that I’ll never need to use?
I find myself reaching for my DCS355 way more than I thought I ever would. Every time I pull it out, friends and family are confused and then amazed so I think that is my favourite. Close second would be the 8v max gyro screwdriver. It’s handy.
Stihl ms 362……..Its cordless O0
Right now I have a 3-way tie.
1). Dewalt Miter Saw.
2). 16g Nailer
3). 887 Impact.
These 3 are responsible for about 60% of my above average productivity. The sort of tools that if I had to give them up, actually reduce my value as a craftsman because of it.
That said and thinking outside of the box, next in line for sure would be my non-contact voltage tester. If there’s one thing I hate it’s reaching into something with a feeling I’m going to get poped, then confirming my suspicion.
May be silly, but…. my DEWALT 20V max handheld blower…..
I use that little bastard every day !!!!!!!! ????
I think my favorite is my Ryobi jigsaw. I’d say the Airstrike nailer but I think the jigsaw is more fun.

Good one!
I agree with the surge impact being a favorite, as well as the copper tubing cutter…
Trying to pin one favorite, maybe the one key Sawzall
Way too hard to pick one:
- 16Ga Dewalt Nailer
- DCD791
- FUEL 6.5″ Circ Saw
- Flexvolt Grinder
- so many more!!
My DTD154, yes it has one less mode than the 170, but it’s all metal cowl is worth it for me.
Hands down the best impact I have had yet. And I have had quite a few.
Hilti 22v Brushless
Milwaukee M12 Fuel
Milwaukee M18 Fuel Gen1
Milwaukee M18 Fuel Gen2
Makita 18v Brushed
Makita 12v Brushed
I think that’s it…

I’ve been thinking and this is difficult. I know it’s a Milwaukee Fuel but I’m stuck between my 3/8″ impact wrench, my m12 drill and my Hackzall.

I understand, I love all the tools I love my surge, screwgun, miter saw, SDS rotary, and my nailer. To Hard To choose :-\ lol
probably my 18×2 Makita blower. thing is awesome.
For me it’s my Festool CXS. Can fit a ton of extra accessories in the systainer and its incredibly versatile for about 90% of the drilling/driving needs.
For outdoor use it’s my Ego backpack blower. Thing is amazing.

I have one of these on my list of tools to buy. Originally I wanted black, but the blue looks nice on my XDT11 so I’ll probably stick with it.

I couldn’t decide which color to get so I got the blue green and white

If I have the extra cash to spend and nothing else I need at the time there’s a good chance I’ll get it in blue and black.
Millwakee fuel 1/2 impact wrench. Major time saver. Its really made me more efficent an that helps me make money.
I have both the standard an bigger high tourque version. I probably use the standard one the most.

plan on getting the mid torque model?

Yeh, I will probably end up getting it as a bare tool. I try not to get something unless I truly need it. However As often as I use my impacts it would be nice.
Lugging around the bigger one is do able, but if I can go smaller/lighter I would like to.
^The high torque is a heavy pig. I love it but only bring it out when it needs to be brought out. I’d bet money we see a gen2 revision of it this year with ridiculous power.
Ill definitely be getting a mid torque. Looks awesome and convenient.
Mine would be my Ryobi cordless inflator. As a biker it is very convenient to fill up my tires with that and as far as I know Ryobi is the only brand that makes one.
I would have to say it is my DeWalt impact driver. I use it more than anything.
No, it would have to be the cordless circular saw. So handy.
No, the blower. I find an excuse to use it almost everyday.
No, the SDS I just got. It is great. It has already replaced the big Bosch corded one.
No, the jigsaw. Don’t use it much, but when I do I’m always amazed at how smooth it is.
No, just got the cordless rotozip. Works just as good as a corded rotozip, but no leash.
Nope, that made me think of the cordless drywall screwgun. I finally got to use it the other day. Very nice.
I’d better think this over and re-post. Now my day is shot, trying to make this decision.
Oh crap. Has to be the new cordless framing nailer. I haven’t used it yet, but the guys have and it’s gotten great reviews. What I did notice is that it helped knock out a small framing job in about half the time. Once you consider everything that goes with the pneumatic nailers, it truly was half the time.
It would seem I posted this kind of goofing around. Not the case. This is how it went through my mind. Now I’m off to work and I’ll think of a tool I forgot about.
I can’t believe I forgot the cordless reciprocating saw. (I call them all Sawzall)
Although it’s probably the lowest quality cordless tool DeWalt makes, we use them everyday. Having the 4 way chuck is the best thing about it.
DeWalt 20v multi tool. Awesome tool. Limited use, but when you need that exact tool, it can’t be beat.
At least until I think of another one.
DCF 680, I have 2 lol

I also have two. Great little drivers; I rarely turn screws by hand anymore.
