Guys, please understand that this is NOT A REVIEW! Just an initial impression of the machine! Thanks!
Also, sorry it’s not in landscape!
Nice Chris! Great review first impressions!
Looks like Makita is really making some serious strides here. I do NOT need another battery platform!!
Thanks Todd!

Not sure on the impact but the drill the reverse switch kept getting in the way of my hand, had to hold it a little awkward but they are sweet little tools

I actually handled the drill at HD and dint seem to have any issues with the tool at all. I haven’t used it though so I can’t speak to its reliability but it fits in my hand quite well

I bet if Makita made a Japanese only model, they could really shrink it down in size to fit their hands better, they are very “compact” people over there!
Incredible small already though, it helped you compared it next to the DeWalt. Portrait mode is big enough pet peeve I almost feel like buying you a replacement mount!
Thanks Not Carl 😉
I figured having the side by side would be helpful for comparing the two in size but I have to admit, this is a really nice tool. Super impressed with it and the drill is just as cool. I have always love Makita grips, right up there with Dewalt. I really was impressed with how the actual tool sits atop of my hand, it’s almost as if it’s an extension of my index finger.
