Table saw now!  fence better be as good as dewalt. If its cordless it better take 2 batteries and have big heouvos. Match dewalt and make a corded adapter for the big high demand m18 fuel tools. Why? well one is set up in the shop or on a big job one can plug in and save the batteries as their life is finite and dust control is easier. I am really liking that dewalt battery run generator, do not let that go buy uncontested. Routers, more now please. The few you make are good but we need plunge routers. Scrap the nail guns and update the noses. Smaller is better and MUST be able to set nails at an angle ! no exceptions. Finally DO YOUR DUE DILIGENCE ON THE ESERVICE JUST MAKE IT WORK FOR ALL NO EXCEPTIONS !

Betteridge’s law of headlines

That said, milwaukee makes sure they keep up so most of those will probably show up soon.

BremonMember since Dec 2014

I don’t see a hypothetical table saw taking 2 batteries or having a corded adapter. Would love to be surprised though.

MikeInCtownMember since Mar 2016

I’m sure adding a few more !!! might make them jump faster.

There is only so much demand for the products you mention and at a price point for which you want features, there is less demand. I’m sure if their router line was selling like gangbusters then they would introduce more. Why not just ask for an M18 bicycle with a tool case on the handlebars?

glassMember since Sep 2013

So asking for Milwaukee elicits a smart as comment. Really.  It’s a tool company. They make woodworking tools.  Just make a dam table saw. The nail guns need a redesign. I would like to see you on that bike you propose.

Asking for a table saw….

khariVMember since Dec 2014

I’d be in for an M18 trim router, were such a beast to exist.

lunicyMember since Nov 2015

Cordless table saw for sure, I’d settle for an 7 1/4.

M18 trim router (fuel?), for hinges and such.

The dewalt inverter/generator thing looks interesting, but I don’t know.

Fix/update/re-design the existing nailers

a cordless 23g pinner

a cordless framer

I believe Dewalt holds the patent to the Corded power adapter AND the stick battery to slide battery adapter as well. So I’m not sure how milwaukee will get around that.

Patents are pretty specific. I doubt that they would have received a patent for all corded to battery adapters just based on the fact that there are other companies out there making these so the patent would have been denied based on prior art.  I don’t doubt that they have lots of patents covering their innovation, including the 60v to 20v step down transformer inside of the battery, but a patent on the fact that you can plug it in seems a stretch.  (I’m more than happy to be proven wrong on this one)

yeah they are specific but milwaukee has the Lithium Ion battery patent so I’m sure other companies will find a way to get around it and dewalt will defend their patent.

You said “Table saw now! ” That isn’t asking, it’s just being rude. And just because they make some woodworking tools, doesn’t mean they need to make a “damn table saw” There actually needs to be enough demand to do so, which their marketing department would know a lot more about than you would.

I’d buy an M18 trim router in a heart beat.  I’m sure this has been discussed before, but has anyone tried adapting a M18 battery onto the Ridgid 18v router?

glassMember since Sep 2013

Mike are you retarded?

BremonMember since Dec 2014

Let’s take it down a notch.

On topic, I’d expect a brushless multitool and jigsaw before a table saw. I also suspect we won’t see any type of adapter for corded power on any of the existing tools. The nail gun redesign is probably 5 years away; they’re probably too busy patting themselves on the back to notice any complaints about them.

He’s just the resident nit picker, Kato the resident prick, a few cynical others such as Hugh, etc, I expected Mike to speak his mind pretty freely about this topic, no surprise there LOL

Maybe a combination like cynical prick or something cool like that!

I’d like them to crank out a corded table saw and learn from any mistakes on that before a cordless option, Milwaukee has never made one, thing that makes dewalt a table and miter so well is many models of tweaking and perfecting, I’d love a BL jig and OMT and a trim router may not be far behind we’ve seen ryobi and ridgid release tools before the Milwaukee variants come out i.e. Nailers

M12 cattle prod NOW!

M18 portapower hydraulic pump

M18 bolt and cable cutters

M12 Die grinder

BremonMember since Dec 2014

The cattle prod needs to be M18. The 9.0 will get em goin.

I used to do low voltage work in commercial buildings. We, and many other trades, used headlamps everyday. I wonder if an M12 battery could be adapted for use with a headlamp. Maybe the battery would need to be a different shape for balance on the noggin and require an adapter to plug it into a regular M12 charger. ————- Yes to the M18 cordless router!!!

I also want a trueview m12 headlamp. Just because of bulk it would be nice if it just had a USB port like Android phones have to charge it or alternatively a cord that plugs into a heated jacket adaptor. I could see an M12 one if it was a style built into, or goes over top, a hardhat.

BremonMember since Dec 2014

M12 hard hat fan like the Makita would be nice too. Makita is king of cool oddball stuff though.

StercorariusMember since Dec 2015

Unless Milwaukee hates us they need to make a belt hook option for the M12 ratchet for doing unistrut clamps on walls

A cold day at work inspired this thought- lets say they make a lunch box similar to their small tool box. But make the lid a compartment that’s heated that way you can warm up your sandwich on a cold day AND have a heated seat on a cold day ?

Nice, I have an onboard microwave in my service van… heat up lunch, then heat up a hot pack, coffee, etc O0

Would like to see a m18 inflator/air compressor able to inflate large truck tires or an auxiliary 5gal air tank to 125psi. Would be great if it had adjustable pressure regulator with auto shut -off.

Since they seem to be on a kick with lights: how ’bout their rolling tool bag with integrated flood light?

I’m on the trim router band wagon as well.

Supposedly they are “taking over” carpentry, some cordless sanders, trim router and such would be sweet to have

Hopefully it’s similar to how they took over jobsite lighting rather than cordless nailing.

Bluetooth tools with small speakers so when I open the app and pull the trigger on my drill or circ. saw it can play “You Spin Me Round” by Dead or Alive or when I turn on the radius light it can play “Hit the Lights” by Metallica for a few seconds.

Seriously though, I wouldn’t mind seeing an anniversary edition of cordless tools that had a retro looking design with aluminum housings and a riveted metal id plate. Black and Decker did this in the 90’s with a cordless drill and I used the heck out of it.
