I have a Makita LXPH01 LXT Lithium-Ion 18v 3.0 Ah Cordless 1/2” Hammer Driver-Drill, that is slipping when drilling/screwing at high gear. Works fine in low gear without issues. Is this repairable? I’ve replaced gears and innards in electric and hand tools, so I’m confident I can on this as well.
Thoughts?
My opinion is that it would cost more in time and parts than just replacing the drill itself. These can be found on ebay for roughly $50, and even lower on craigslist. Again, my 2 cents.
The gear box isn’t that expensive. And easy ro replace yourself 🙂
