By the time I get my CPO order 9ah will have already been out, lol.
I’ll probably be retired by the time I get my flexvolt. I’m only 21.
Lol. Such a ridiculous situation.
Low and behold, local Home Depot just put up a big FlexVolt display!
My next post will be in the “What tools did you buy today” thread…

My Depot has a big display of the Flex Voltbas well..
I spin the FlexVolt table saw at my Home Depot every damn time I walk past!
Have to be honest I am not that big of a fan of Dewalt cordless, so I only checked out the FV display for a few minutes than went directly over to Makita & Milwaukee. Sorry guys , lol
So you’re saying you want to fight…
>:(
;D
Ha ha ha… I do like my Dewlat corded tools.. Lol

Now that’s funny,
Yep. That’s what I’m doing. But I’m thinking it would be good with some 6.0 too for a little lighter tool when that’s a matter. But both table saw and miter saw could be sipping on a 9.0 each [emoji6]

Maybe you will get lucky and that is what it will ship with, since it is taking them so long. That was some serious B.S., CPO and others selling a bunch of stuff at a discount price without firm knowledge of how many they were getting and how quick the replenishment rate would be. That is assuming they didn’t know how many they were getting. It is far worse if they knew and kept on selling without knowing when they were getting more follow on tools.
Lets say they were getting 10, they could have sold 10 and then announced they would offer the same price and place orders in a backorder status. They should have been honest with the customers.
It could have gone better I agree, but the shaft is from Dewalt and big box stores ordering total supply. Dewalt shouldn’t play the numbers game and should have done better diversifying their orders to prevent this from happening, because the enthusiasts and frequent buyers are the ones who preorder the most, and thus the ones getting screwed in the end. It’s totally not fair that I have a trailer full of dewalt tools, made a preorder, and my neighbor who doesn’t even own a hammer can walk into home depot and buy my tool I’ve been waiting weeks for.

Yea this is crazy if I would have known this I would have waited and not ordered the only thing I have from cpo is my bare tool grinder I can’t even use it until my other kits get shipped whenever that will be I pre ordered the end of june
Sucks for sure.
I called CPO 2 days ago regarding a the circular saw kit I purchased and they indicated they were getting more inventory on 10/12. Might be worth calling if you haven’t already.
anyone know about factory authorized?
I was just at one of my local Home Depots and there was a DeWalt rep with the whole 60 volt lineup out for you to play with.
He stated with great confidence that when the 60 volt 3 amp hour battery comes out it will not be shipping with the tools but be strictly an add-on battery.
He also told me if I bought the table saw he would be throwing in a spare battery. Very very tempting as that is the main tool I want. I may be meeting up with him at a different Home Depot tomorrow.
I have the NEW flexvolt brochure that is available at the Demos at HD as a handout
(when a rep is onsite)
on the back page of this brochure further flexvolt tools are listed with “coming soon”
as an example
dch481x2 Rotary Hammer
dcbl770x1 blower
both state “includes flexvolt 9.0 ah battery”
so we can also conclude that the 9.0Ah batteries contained in kits is “X”
x1 = 1x 9.0ah battery
x2 = 2x 9.0ah battery
also listed is the tracksaw, as kit it will ship with 6.0ah battery ( dcs520T1)
I also received a free battery with each flexvolt purchase !
this is part of the onsite promotion
cheers
Here’s the coming soon poster:

Man o man????? I’m in trouble!?
So we have 20v,40v and 60v OPE?
Yep the 60v stuff was demoed at the Dewalt flexvolt event. It just wont be available till next spring. Defiantly interested in the tracksaw potentially unless I find a killer Festool deal

That’s why the death of 40v has been suspected since last summer.
Hopefully for the sake of 40v users the multi charger isn’t a token gesture to the line like the lasers are for 12v max lol.

My thoughts exactly. That said, it seems that the Dewalt corded version is actually right in line with the TS55EQ price-wise, unless I’m missing something… So I’m betting the Flexvolt version will cost substantially more money.
I wish the track saw could run off both 20 and 60v batts…with just a reduced runtime. Then maybe the baretool would be more affordable.

I got the grinder but haven’t gotten either kit the sawzall or circular saw
I picked up the FlexVolt table saw. Local rep gave me a free battery to go with it. It’s sweet.
And I thought the 6.0 flexvolt looked big
..
May just be skewed from the camera angle tho
looks like a 12V car battery wonder how that will be hanging off the back of a drill or impact
looks like the next step is wireless power…..big huge battery + any tool will be powered within a 20ft radius …..
It has 20700 cells AKA better cells. You are right though. It will be a pain to use your cordless tablesaw overhead now. Milwaukee’s cordless tablesaw does great overhead.
what di dewalt say on the release date of these batt
(hopefully not Q2 / 2017) like the new tools
cheers
The first wave of 2017 tools are coming in spring I’m guessing. The 9.0 does look big but I would rather have a big battery with good cells than a more compact battery with not so great cells.
The angle does skew the size, but is big for sure. Don’t see the complaint though. Milwaukee’s 9.0 has no place on a 2704 or 2753 unless you’re a glutton for punishment so at best it’s just the same argument as Milwaukee “but it will work in a pinch if I run out of power at that one specific point where all 12 of my other batteries are dead! Compatibility guys!!!!!!” Sold my 6.0 FlexVolt because 108 watt hours out of 15 cells is a joke and not worth the weight. I’ll get a pair of 20v Max 6.0 (which also use 20700 cells) and a pair of FlexVolt 3.0/9.0 and call it good for my Dewalt stuff. M18 gets the broader budget for batteries from me.

Yeah. I have an M18 9.0 on the way and it will be interesting to see how it handles compared to the 9.0 DeWalt. If I buy any more DeWalt batteries they will for sure all be 20700 based ones.

Oh great, knowing Milwaukee, their next step will be coming out with new 20700 powered packs and we’ll get a refresher course on the marketing drama lol I love the tools, and they are a marketing machine but I could do with less of the usual “wha-a-ank” lol!!!
????

I take offense at that accent being called “the most Canadian”. I’m not sure how he speaks but it isn’t representative of us lol.

Yeah thought so too, not the “strongest” accent, not even close

Weird east of Quebec sounding accent. Up north they sound just like us down here except they say sorry funny, up there it sounds like “sore ree” down here it sounds like “gof*#kyerself”.
Acme tools almost always has the newest tools first and in stock..plus great deals…i was getting free flexvolt batteries with every order long before the dewalt promo….
The FlexVolt toss-in battery has been on FlexVolt kits since day one, so not sure what constitutes “long before”.
