I wonder why they mark down stuff so fast. It hasn’t been out for a month
My guess is that they always wanted to sell it for 299, but intro-ed it higher figuring anyone that really wanted to jump on the bandwagon would buy it at the higher price and then not bother to come back for a price adjustment refund. Pure speculation, though.

Sounds likely. They did the same thing with the brushless circular saw and TTI does it on a longer time scale with milwaukee.
Ridgid does that with most of their tools
