I’m noticing that my new 5ah batteries only show 2 bars after charger stops charging. Anyone else have this experience?
I’m not sure if the charger isn’t fully charging them, or if the battery charge indicator is not accurate.
Someone had got into a bad batch in an older thread and determined the charger was malfunctioning, purchased from the same place around the same time, just bad out of the box. I’ve had 9 chargers from Dewalt and gave 3 to buddies and all of them are still going strong no issues.
Hmm, well isn’t hat a kick in the sack.
I just received one, that came with the nailer I won. I have not had a chance to test out the battery yet, I will let know soon as I do.

power tools. Bad charger seems more believable to me than bad battery but who knows. Could probably approximate whether the battery is actually only half charged based on run time.
Yeah, I’m going to run them for a bit, see what happens.
How old is your charger? Warantee it if you can.
Only a couple weeks or so old.
No question, take it back or call Dewalt and get a replacement. Done deal.

Accept the fact the every tool company has issues.
I know, only kidding, I’m sure I’ll get the Dewalt sorted out. Really impressed with their tools, can’t wait to get my mitts on the FlexVolt circ and recip saws!

Hi I have just attempted to charge my 5ah batteries not genuine dewalt that are showing 2-bars the red light on charger showing red fully charged. I have charged two dewalt 2.0ah batteries ok showing three bars.
Not genuine batteries you get what you pay for there
