Have had this thing for like 20+ years now,not sure the brand but it was purchased at Sears back then. Still works great.

I know alot of folks like the milwaukee one, what are yall using? Im gonna expand my collection soon. Never enough hardware storage.
I have a bunch of the Milwaukee organizers but I also for bits and blades I use some Plano or Husky clear organizers.

For home electrical I use a fishing tackle box. Tons of storage compartments and then a big open bay at the bottom to throw wire strippers and other misc large items.

Nice selection brother. I need to get a labeler so I can do that with mine.
My wife makes the labels on the computer, really cool. You buy the label printer paper and off you go…

Thats a great idea,I think I actually have a bunch of those. Thanks for the idea.
…and a hell of a lot cheaper than the replacement label tape on label makers I’m sure. Those freaking label makers are just outright scams, they sell the label maker for $10 with a small roll of tape. The maker uses 2 times or more the tape it needs when printing the label and the replacement tapes are twice the cost of the printer.
My wife just told me you buy some label paper at Staples or Target and it has the Microsoft word program with it that you use on your computer, she loves this thing, she actually turned me on to it…
I think open office and such can do it too.

Sharpies don’t come off as easy as a
Label when I change my mind an hour later… Lol
Well now, I supposed I have to go take some pics of my hardware storage…

I use a label maker. I love the thing. It’s nice, clean and uniform, which I like.

man I love that I started this thread. You guys have some nice gear stowed away.
The only thing worthwhile is the Plano boxes, those Stanley organizers are nice but it’s too easy to jumble stuff up. I’ve got so much mix of gobbledygook in those that it’s not even funny.
I keep most of my hardware in the Milwaukee organizers. Just wishing I would have bought more when they were $19. $24 isn’t a deal breaker but I’ll save 5 bucks whenever I can!

That is what black Fridays are for. I am sure someone will have some for sale in November.
Now Lowe’s and Home Depot have spring ones, seemingly on different weekends.
The price is pretty good while the sale is on, but if some are left over after the sale and they are still in the store a month later, that is when the bargains happen.:D 😀 😀 😀 😀
With the old price you could get 5 for $100,now you get one less for that same $100 makes me wonder what the real story behind the price increase was.

They were 25 until they dropped around the holidays… sucks
Anyone use the Tstak system? I’ve been thinking of getting a few of those. Seem to be versatile and durable.

I’ve been watching the Dunham stuff on Amazon. Like this: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B006WQB3RK
It’s very similar to the stuff Ace hardware uses to store hardware, metal case with removable plastic divider. I’m hoping the rack finds it’s way to warehouse.

Aah,I do recognize those, seen them before long ago.

Very nice quality. Significantly smaller than what Ultgar’s crazy awesome posts are filled with but more along the lines of something most could get by with. A couple of racks would be more than enough for most. They’re solid, I think the steel is a little thicker than my Husky box is made from.
Yeah from what I remember of these, been a longtime since ive seen one, they are nice to have on top of ones bench or on shelves, small items dont slide over the top if you tilt them upwards either.
I’m not a terrible fan of the Durhams for mobile boxes either, they work but I prefer the plastic multi-latch boxes as well. The Durham handle and latch just aren’t as nice of a design. Sometimes you’ll pop the latch when lifting the handle, I imagine that’s how you’ve hand them come unlatched. I’m using mine as more of a stationary, semi-mobile storage solution. Basically, if you need to move it to the other side of the house, do it, but it’s never going in the car or being dragged from room to room.
I’ve been thinking of picking up some of the Milwaukee boxes for mobile hardware storage, I should have bought them last year when they were $20. 🙁
I keep wanting to get some of those milwaukee ones too. Perhaps they will go on sale again sometime.
I like clear lids, inevitably you will buy another one and it’s easier to see which is which. Also allows you to see when you’re getting low, because we all know that unless you run out, you’re going to forget that you’re low if you notice it in the middle of a job.
That Dewalt one looks nice. Seems a lil more compact than the milwaukee one. Clear lids are defo a huge plus imo.
Cool Chris, those Festool ones are really sweet. Thanks for sharing.

Why thank you oh mighty Man of the Fazz!!!!
Big fan of clear lids as opposed to guess the box, nothing worse than flipping through boxes and boxes for a kreg screw when you already have a mess
