sister in-law made it out with the kids but brother in-law is stuck there so far with a dead cell phone, I can only imagine the thoughts going through their heads. he managed to make a land line call to tell his wife he is ok other than his cell phone needs charging….total cluster jam with the entire city trying to get out of town…..
Oh my goodness Comp, I hope everyone’s safe. That’s a huge fire. Effecting a lot of people.
The power of Mother Nature is scary sometimes. I hope everyone is ok and it gets contained soon
Saw some video of it!! Hope everyone is ok Comp. It was insane when my neighbors garage caught on fire a few years ago it’s amazing how fast a fire can flash over.
Thoughts and prayers are with you and your family Comp,,,
this from 25,000 up over city….nuts

Good grief, and today I was complaining about working in the rain…. stay safe everyone
Heard about that last night and wondered how close it was to you. I remember you said you lived in Thunder Bay at some point but didn’t know if you were still there. Hope everyone is okay, scary stuff
Sending my prayers your families way Comp! That’s freakin crazy… I hope everyone is safe man

thanks yes we live in thunder bay which is quite a far distance from the fire but wife has a brother and his family smack dab in the middle of it….
Man, your poor wife and you have had a heck of a 5-6 months. Hope him and the whole family are safe and hope you all have better luck moving forward this year.
got word from bro inlaw, he is out of area however lost everything other than what his wife and kids could fit in their van the day before. Not only his house the whole city block is leveled…..and then some… current size of fire is between 7,500 and 10,000 hectares. or 18,000 to 24,000 acres and growing….crazy….
Comp I am so sorry for your family. Thank God they got out safely.
Thankfully they’re okay! Soo sad to hear they lost soo much, I can’t imagine.

I’ve thought about it more than once because we see quite a few hurricanes in Florida. Every time I think of having just a few hours to pack your car up with your most prized possessions it makes me sick, I know they’re just possessions but possessions can carry a lot of meaning.
Wow, unbelievable comp! Crazy, i am in a relatively safe area (light flooding, straightline winds) but that’s insane…
Help is on its way yes?

awesome thanks for all the kind words, yes this is just crazy, block after block of houses just gone……what a terrible thing to go through…..
That sucks. We had fires that size the last couple years but they weren’t in populated areas like that. Good to hear your family is safe. All my relatives in Alberta are way farther south of the fire. Too early in the year for burning on that scale.
Wow, that is terrible. I couldn’t imagine that.
As I’m writing this this fire is all over the news man I can’t believe it’s still out of control 🙁
talk about being in the thick of it….
