Briggs & Stratton P3000 PowerSmart 3000 Watt Inverter Generator

If you can own one inverter, own the Briggs & Stratton 3000.  Now I haven’t had a lot of time on this inverter, but as this year goes on, I will rack up the hours.  As you can see by the video, I am pretty excited.  In fact, I think I even said it had a cigarette lighter, which it doesn’t.  I meant it has a 12V.  The first thing I like about this is Briggs didn’t cut any corners.  It comes with everything you need to run this inverter.  You get the oil, the funnel, the cables, okay it doesn’t come with gas.  The unit itself is well laid out.  The front panel is easy to see and everything is labeled.  On the side of the unit, there are easy start instructions, what more could you want?  Okay if that’s not enough, you get 3,000 starting watts and 2,600 running watts.  The gas tank has a real indicator to let you know how much gas is still left in the 1.5 gallon tank.

It’s funny because I looked at the product page on Briggs and Stratton.  There are about 19 questions.  Probably 10 questions ask about the decibel level.  Do people even read anymore?  If not why am I writing this?  The decibel level of this unit is 59 dB which is pretty quiet for this size.  You get a full 10 hours run time at a 1/4 load.  The unit has nice LED lights to light up the panel.  I am not going to go on and on about this, just watch the video below, but I do want you to pay close attention to the LCD Statstation Display.
The easy-to-read LCD screen shows the amount of power being used, total unit hours, and maintenance reminders, including oil, air filter, and spark plug changes.  Come on, how cool is that?  If you want to learn more about this unit, just watch the video below as apparently no one reads anymore.

  1. I enjoyed reading the article, Eric. Not just watching the video lol. I’ve always been a Honda person as well but do really like Briggs engines. I’ve worked with 4 different Honda inverters over the past couple years and I just really like them. But I will say this Briggs looks to be worth a try. Thanks guys!

  2. Nice!!! I really like that it comes with several items to get going from the start. It would be great if it came with gas (kidding guys). Eric mentioned in the write up that LCD display is great with useful information, gas left, hours, oil, but I really the front panel with all the outlets. I can light up my garage for hours. I really need to invest on one of these units or a generator. We lose power every summer in the city. Have to save the pennies & kick out more projects. Laters TIA

    • I am ordering the aerocart for my husband. He has a back injury and he sure needs it to help me in the garden. We struggle to move rocks, dirt, mulch and much more. I hope we have a chance to win anything to make our life easier!

  3. Real nice presentation guys. You sold me on this Briggs inverter. I have always been a Honda dude but, I have to admit this Briggs has more to offer. I’m a stickler on maintenance and with the lcd statstation it takes all the guess work out. Being able to monitor the power being used real time is an awesome feature.? Thanks

  4. Several reviews I’ve read on B&S Inverter Generators complain about hard starting. That’s strange because all of my B&S small engines have always started first or second pull. Give us an update on starting after using it a while.
