I sharpen my own bits by hand but have used a friend’s Drill Doctor and found it to be a handy appliance.
Life is too short to struggle with dull bits.
Unlike Cameron, I don’t sharpen my bits. I lack the knowledge/skill and equipment. If I had a Drill Doctor, I wouldn’t need the former. I think it is a great product concept, but overpriced for my low-volume needs. My only attempt at sharpening a spade bit resulted in an even worse cut when I was done. Thanks for a great giveaway – and good luck to all.

I’ve killed a lot of drill bits trying to sharpen them. Youtube makes it look so easy!
