What is one thing everyone here is looking forward to getting on this Black Friday sales!!!???
I pretty much shop the best deals. If there’s a really good buy on something I want, I’ll go for it, but I’m at the point where needs are kinda few and far between and seldom available at a b&m store around here.
Same with Conductor. Wouldn’t mind a couple of odds and ends unless something cool popped up.
I’ll tell you one thing I won’t be doing is waiting in line at 1am to get ANYTHING! Lol did it years ago and not happening again. But if I see an online deal I may go for it. I have some shotguns on my list too if they end up on a Black Friday deal, those are tools in my book.
Yea the last year or two I’ve been a little disappointed with the Black Friday sales, maybe this year Amazon will have some better sales.

I used to almost enjoy Black Friday, but it’s slowly swallowed Thanksgiving.
We visited you guys one year for black friday and I have to say you guys are nuts………………..we have boxing day same thing wanna see nice people in Canada don’t go shopping Dec 26th…….
When I was in HD this past weekend, they already had displays in the middle the aisles stocked with items marked as “Black Friday Event”. I didn’t really look at anything since I was in the middle of a project and had to run back home
I’ve actually went out to stores and shopped ONCE! Never again. I’ll stick with the deals online Friday & Monday. I don’t remember anything being that much of a steal last year anyways. We’ll see…
In hoping to pick up a new tool box either the husky or milwaukee don’t k ow if ur ther will be on sale but I got my eyes on those oh and I’m really hoping the Dewalt tablesaw comes at a good deal like last year…
Not really needing anything at the moment….although I did pick up the Milwaukee stand light a few days ago, may add anotther smaller LED one if there are any good deals to be had.
Seems like most “Black Friday” deals are gone by the time you get to them or they are not really deals at all. I agree I would never wait in some long line to get any of these so called deals.
I also agree about waiting in lines that’s not my thing but we do go after everyone leaves our house and drive around with the crazies last year we picked up some sweet deals.
A Milwaukee stand light. Ok now I’m jealous
I use to do it.But not the last few years. There are just way to many human ”Tools” for me out there. My trust in people and crowds these days is not very high.Plus I do not like what it has become. It has Gobbled up Thanksgiving and the meaning of Thanksgiving.Family morals went right out the window about the same time Black Friday became popular.I hate to be doom and gloom. But I think we will see metal detectors in the big box stores before we know it.
Tool stores are not too bad really. The few times I have done it maybe there were 50 people at the door if that.
I’m looking for saw blades, 12″ and 7.25″ circular.
I think I’m gonna grab an 18V drill to keep in the truck. I could just get a battery and move a Milwaukee into road service, but I’m feeling exotic and for the price of a battery I can get a 1 battery combo on BF.
I’m thinking either Dewalt or Makita. Dewalt would make the most sense as I already have compatible 20V Mac tools, but I’m kinda wanting to open up my options. The most that would ever be added would be a 1/2″ impact and possibly a recip saw.
Decisions decisions……
Black Friday is for old people trying to get a tickle me elmo for their grandkids. Cyber Monday is where it’s at boys. Great deals, and you can shop in your underwear from the comfort of your couch.
I’m with you Hugh! Unfortunately, Mrs. Conductor revels in the madness and thrives in the chaotic nature of it all.
Black Friday is to my wife what a full moon is to a werewolf. It unleashes something inside of her not seen at any other time in the year.
What this means is that Conductor’s ass will be in line at
Toys ‘R’ Us for 5+ hours in the cold waiting for a fantastic bargain on some shit I don’t even need, all while Mrs. Conductor sits in the warm car with her mother and my mother and plot their strategy like they’re getting ready to invade Normandy.
. Bahahahhaha Hilarious C man!!! It is a adrenaline for sure!Conductor562 wrote:

That my friend is why thermoses were invented to put hot tea and whiskey in it for consumption to tolerate the high levels of stupidity and ignorance you will encounter.

I just got a Leatherman Skeletool and the 9 pack of spring clamps at HD 🙂 Awesome! Still weighing in on the $150 off deal and don’t know where to go 🙁
Our HD has the Bosch 12″ Axial Glide miter saw for 520 right now. One of the guys in the tool section said it would probably drop a couple more times since they haven’t moved many. I’m hoping it makes a big drop black friday.

Not sure Black Friday is what it use to be, with all the online retailers one can pretty much get deals year round. For me, it’s not just the price, I factor in my time and stress levels I would endure, just for a chance that the item isn’t already sold out. But the main factor, i’m not a people person LOL, I hate crowds.

You’re a better man than I am. I wouldn’t do it if the shit I was shopping for was free. Nope.
It’s honestly not been as bad the last couple of years since Cyber Monday took off. The first couple years we went it was insane, but it’s tapered off some.
I went black friday shopping with my wife once before we were married and I’ll just say it’s surprising we got married after that. I think my exact words were, “it will be a cold day in hell before I ever do that again!”.

I notice as I get older I have a harder time being in large groups like at malls and movie theaters. Worse yet is Walmart. Local morons in droves, swearing and bumping and grinding. Kinda like my last rectal exam.kruton wrote:

Chris that may have been the funniest post I have seen on this forum! I did not see that ending coming. My biggest problem is that we weren’t going for anything in particular but since I’m a pretty big guy she expected me just to shove everyone oit of the way. I told her I could if I knew where in the hell we were going. I think if there is something specific I was wanting I would probably go again, but just to go look around…ain’t happening again.chrisk wrote:

I bought my tv a few years ago at bestbuy, it wasn’t a door buster but I got a good deal on it. Was it worth waiting like 3 hours in the cold? Probably not, I prefer shopping in my boxers with a cup of coffee of the Irish variety than dealing with people.

That’s what I’m talking about! Throughout the year my wife will mention things. I put those in my Amazon list and when I am good and ready I click a few buttons and voila, it’s all over but the wrapping.
I think that is going to be my new screen name!chrisk wrote:

Table saw!!!!
Lol u guys rock!!! I’m just holding out 1 1/2 more weeks to see if it goes a little lower hopefully like last year.
go get em both then when the wife is about to spin a nut keep the one you like better and take the other one back…lol
wife and I traveled 3 1/2 hours to a black friday sale one year, when I went into the first store we got there around noon and thought the place was going out of business. the place looked like a hurricane went through it. I watched as a guy his wife and 2 kids walked by me with 4 full shopping carts of toilet paper, I thought how bloody cheap does it have to be to buy enough toilet paper that takes up 400sq feet of your 1200sq foot house
I didn’t know they had deals on TP on black friday!!
