Good price on those…..I think I will check our HD and pick a few up, thanks for the heads up 🙂

krutonMember since Jun 2015

Ours had them for the same price. I was looking to get an organizer for my screws that I could take out of the shop easily so when I saw these on sale I bought all three they had. I’m gonna grab a couple more when they restock. It’s a really nice unit and I felt like it had a better seal around the individual compartments than the DeWalt.

I kinda figured they would come down to the same price as the Dewalts eventually. I gotta pick one of these up now, thanks for the heads up

good for on the go, I give up on containers for the shop I keep forgetting what I own cause it is not in sight……

dg1127Member since Jun 2015

I picked one up a week ago thinking of getting more removed the containers and cut the dividers out with multi tool and put my impact and drill inside worked out nice I can see what’s inside, I can stack it with another one full of screws or other tools it’s a durable case

Picked one up today, I love the solid feel of the box. Everything snaps nice and snug as well as the removable bins.

After you cut the divider out did you notice if it lost any of its rigidity? I was wondering why that divider was there and just assumed it was to add stability against torsional flex. I had thought about doing the same to one of mine but was hesitant.

you will be fine they use a telefonic fibre with syncropathics embedded in the polyitastics….oh wait wrong topic…..what was the question?

Maxwell Tyler RayMember since Jun 2015

Great organizer..I’ve got mine loaded down and it handles the weight like a champ!!

JerryNYMember since Jun 2015

I think I got the last one in my local HD. The only reason it was there was it happened to be in the wrong spot. I was waiting for a price drop on these things. It is a good deal for under $20.

Looks tidy….grab ya some egg crate foam the type you find in those aluminum carrying case so the tools don’t bang around.

Or maybe someone else considering this might just cut notches out of the divider so they can be used as holds for the tools you want to use in there.

That mod looks soooo much better than I imagined, nice work!

No worries man, thanks for posting though. Looks like I will be chopping one of mine up tomorrow. I may try some Kaizen foam in it after I decide how I want to configure things inside. Thanks again man.

I have one full of different screws the other is electrical and the third has a few different fasteners for now but not sure it will stay that way after seeing how cutting the divider turned out.

I was nervous at frist but it worked out. The foam insert is great idea might have to do that now

Leave it to a friggin’ TIA brother to figure out how give Milwaukee a kick in the butt and get a friggin’ tool box out there for its buyers 😉

Awesome job dg! I’ve been belly aching for Milwaukee to come up with a decent tool box and they screwed it up till you had the foresight to fix the problem. I’d patent your idea and sell it to the Milwaukee Skunk Works department. Maybe they will FINALLY come out with a decent tool box based on your idea!!!

Awesome job and I’m amazed at what you can fit in there. Try Fastcap for a box of Kaisen foam and you’ll have the sweetest box out there!

September: TIA Crew buys out all fein drills on toolnut.

October: TIA Crew buys all HD stock of Milwaukee organizers.

Lol we should buy this stuff in bulk.

This is a pretty diverse box, I’ll probably pick up a few more

What are the internal dimensions? I’m trying to figure out how much I can fit in one of those.

Milwaukee really needs to get this together.  Swap the try inserts with a block of foam and suddenly they have a stackable tool case half the price of most others.

Thanks.

It’s a shame though that’s not quite long enough for a sawzall.  At $20 a case I would love to have interlocking cases for all my tools, but I guess it’s too good to be true.

Good stuff guys! Are you listening Milwaukee?! Picked one up the other day, after these ideas I know I need more. I have a few contractor bags of tools behind the seat of the truck that can be cleaned up using these.

MikeyBMember since Dec 2014

That’s a great idea guys,,,, like ChrisK said, add some foam to those bad boys and your styling….

Mondo1310Member since Jun 2015

I had the same idea but to store my m12 hackzall, since they don’t come in a box like other tools.

JimboS1iceMember since Sep 2015

Just bought my HD out of these today’s, love the removable tubs.

I have looked at these in the store but not bought any. I own about 8 of the DeWalt/Stanley deep pro organizers which are full of nails/screws/bolts/rivets ect. I had though about using the DeWalt/Stanley deep pro with all the ‘cups’ removed to store my Bosch 12v tools and such. I see the TIA crew is doing that with the Milwaukee boxes.

Those that have compared and/or used both the Milwaukee and DeWalt/Stanley organizers, can you comment on if one is more rigid and the other? What is better about the Milwaukee? DeWalt? I know that the Milwaukee is a bit larger and the lid can open with others clip on top. This could be a pain if the tops boxes are loaded and heavy, I presume.

Thanks,

Travis

Never used the Dewalt but I had a bunch of Stanley’s that I switched it for these, I like the rigidness of the box, it’s a very sturdy box that can take a beating. As for the stacking I personally probably won’t stack more than three, it’s a pretty deep box unless your just storing them.

They had to match the price of the DeWalt organizer. Plus it has a very cheap looking clasp on one side that is plastic and it looks like it would break off.

Jacob ScutzlasMember since Sep 2015

Nice. Gives me an idea for my new M12 set I picked up.

pjsockettMember since Aug 2015

I picked up the last 2 at the HD by me last night. I am going to use 1 for spare screws and bolts, I just need to figure out what the second one is for.

I have three loaded with various fasteners, the bottom ones open no problem under weight.  Also carrying the stack on its side I have had no problems with losing contents of the bins or anything.

That’s a good idea. I got he Dewalt a while back but those dividers just come out. That’s a good price though I’ll have to swing by there tomorrow.
