Many of the CHEAPER competitive products in the circular/miter saw category have laser guides as standard fare. Yet for DW, there seem to be either none available (or compatible 3rd party) or an expensive separate “accessory”.
The majority of professionals don’t use lasers on their tools, particularly circular saws. Miter saw lasers were nice until dewalt started selling the XPS work light which uses the blade to cast a shadow of the blade as the cut line. Research the DWS780 and you’ll know what I am talking about. It is far superior to the lasers which constantly need adjusting. The light comes installed on the DWS780.
