I have this Makita 3612c mounted in a router table. I have had this for many years and use off and on. It is getting very difficult to raise or lower the router using the black knob. I have to use vice grips and tap the router with a hammer to get it to move. But evening doing that it will get to about 1 1/2 inches from the base and will not go any father . I sprayed plung arms and that does not help. Yes I have unlocked the router. Any advice?
Sounds like dirt or something in there. I take it that it’s not rusting anywhere. Have you tried grease instead of spray. Sometimes spray doesn’t work as good as a little grease.
