For those of you that bought these new from Home Depot, were your batteries dead out of the package (meaning only 1 LED on the life meter)? Aren’t Li-ion batteries best stored 50-75% full when storing long term, AKA sitting around a store shelf for months or maybe years?
That’s what I thought also. However when we talked with a company, they told us that when these batteries get packaged, they go into “Sleep” mode or storage mode form the factory. That is why they always have you charge the battery first before you use it. Not only does it give it a full charge but it takes it out of this one time mode.
