Yes, it’s finanly here.  We first saw this at the Dewalt event and couldn’t wait for this to hit market.  I have been impressed by their framing nail, so I am sure I will be equally as impressed with this finish nailer.  Best part of it, it’s a 20V cordless nailer.  No air hoses and no gas cartridges.  OK let’s talk about the tool.

The new nailer is a 16 gauge angled finish nailer (Model DCN660) which can drive up to 2,200 nails per charge with a 5 Ah battery and 800 nails with a 2 Ah battery.  That’s a heck of a lot of nails.  This nailer would be great for Contractor’s, Remodelers, Trim and Finish Carpenters, and Cabinet Makers and Installers.

The nailer houses a brushless motor for extended runtime and longer motor life.  While it may look heavy, it only weigh 6 lbs. and that is with a 2 Ah battery.  So let me guess, you want to know about some of the features.

  • Tool-Free Jam Release
  • Tool-Free Depth Adjustment
  • Tool-Free Stall Release
  • Tool-Free Selectable Trigger – Bump & Sequential

The nailer comes with an adjustable belt hook and multi-functional LED lights that illuminate application surfaces, blink when the battery is low.

The DCN660D1 comes with one 2.0Ah battery, charger, and kit box.  The kit should retail for around $399.  The DCN660B bare tool will retail for about $349. So when can you get this bad boy?  According to Dewalt it should be available for purchase in Roctober.
