Bosch introduced a new compact drill to the market. You get the drill, 2 slim pack batteries and a charger, all for under a $100. I think it’s pretty wild to see a quality drill for under a $100. If your looking to for a compact drill with a nice balance and great feel, that won’t break the bank, take a look at the video below.
Compact drills are great. There are plenty of times you don’t need the extra power, so why have all the weight. All I can say is I’am excited to see Bosch come out with a quality compact drill. While Dan doesn’t like the fact it has a plastic sleeve, I personally like the plastic sleeve over metal. For me a compact drill should be light, easy to work with and have ample power, which this drill has. I wish the batteries did have a fuel gauge, but seriously, it’s a $100, can I really complain about that.
Bosch DDB181-02 18-Volt Lithium-Ion 1/2-Inch Compact Tough Drill/Driver Kit with 2 Batteries, Charger and Contractor Bag
Hi So I noticed it does not have the cool pack batteries, the ones with the bottom that is like a rubber in red that lets the heat out ??? that could be another reason it is lower priced, not a big diff for the market they are trying to captyre ie home owner who does little odds and ends at home, so that being said this drill should last for a long time.
Nice starter drill for a new home owner & great brand. My first starter drill was a B&D 12v with a plug in battery built into the tool. If I remember correctly I paid $60. Still have it & still use it to keep it going. This Bosch compact would have been great if I knew about tools way back then. This drill will get you into the brand & into its higher end brothers.
