Why Accessories Makes the Perfect Gift
When you look at power tool accessories you will find anything from cheap no names bits to high priced bits where you question the price and who came up with the prices. Power tool accessories make a great gift because everyone who uses a power tool needs an accessory. The ones I picked out above are the ones I feel are the best bang for your buck and make a great gift for you or someone you care about.
These are ones I have had experience with and feel they are the best for the price. Now everyone will have different experiences but these are my go-to accessories. The only one that I was hesitant to put on was the router bits because they are very expensive. However, I have tried cheaper bits and they seem to wear out quickly and produce poor quality work. I have the Freud and have been using them for a long time. They have stayed sharp and have been awesome to use. So while it carries a hefty price tag, I feel it’s worth the money.
I am a big fan of the Milwaukee bits and you can find these at the Home Depot for fairly inexpensive, especially this time of year. While it can be hard to get a bit out of the case, I love the organization. Best of all, I love the bits and how long they last, even in my impact drivers.
For the Forstner bits, I like Irwin but Freud has some awesome bits also, but they are high priced, however, they do last much longer than the Irwins.
The Dewalt drill bits have been rock solid for me. I have used others that last a long time also but for the money, the Dewalt is a great bang for the money.
I know accessories are not super fancy or exciting gifts, but they are practical and anyone will use them. So for Day 7, it’s our gift idea for everyone who uses power tools.
Final Thoughts
The one thing I learned over the years is to have quality power tool accessories. I have bought cheap bits only for them to break, wear out quickly or cause bad results. Since I learned this fact, I have only gone with brand names and quality brand name bits. Sure I pay a little more but it’s worth every penny to me and my sanity. If you have someone in your life that you want to make their life easier, a quality power tool accessory is the way to go. If you have to buy a gift because you feel obligated, just buy them cheap bits and be done.
