Plate Vise4

How many times have you cut a piece of material when you have it resting against your leg?  If your like me, proababy the same amount of times you have made a cut without safety glass, one two many.  Well we all know this is dangerous, but sometimes we just want to make a quick cut and don’t even think about the dangers of doing this.  Well the people over at Tri-Vise did and invented a cool, simple tool to help us all out.  Its called the Plate Vise

This is a very simple, but effective way to make quick cuts when you don’t have a safe and stable way to make cuts.  As you can see by the picture above and the video below, this allows you to cut multiple types of material using a simple design.  All you need to do is insert the material into the Plate-Vise, set on the ground and place your foot behind your work to hold it stable.  The downword force of your foot allows the Plate-Vise to bind with the material and hold it stable.  Yes its that easy.  We know how much you like our long winded reviews that go on and on, but sometimes a product is that easy, a simple video and couple of photgraphs is all you need to understand how this product can help.

Conclusion

This is a simple, but effective tool to help make cutting safer.  We like the fact that this is strong and will last, built in the USA and can do multiple materials.  If your a contractor who doesn’t always have a safe place to make a cut, this is a tool that could help you out. We always like to hear back from our readers on their experience with these tools – good or bad.  Do you have experience with these tools?  How has the long term use been?  What applications have you used the tool for?  Is this a DIY or professional grade tool?  Let us and other readers know. https://youtu.be/dkApDojZhB0
