When it comes to portable power, generators and inverters have come a long way over the years.  Today we are going to take a look at a new addition to the community of inverters, the RYOBI Bluetooth Inverter.

Features

When it comes to inverters, this would be a top choice for its size and power.  This inverter features 2,300 starting watts and 1,800 running watts.  Speaking of features, this inverter offers a CO Sensor that will automatically shut off if it detects high levels.

Still want more? How about Bluetooth connectivity for starting, stopping, and monitoring the inverter?  How cool is it that? You can control this unit from a phone.  If you are camping, it seems this would sure come in handy.

The battery, display screen, and control panel are all located on the front of the unit.

The screen is large and the Gencontrol display shows fuel level, runtime remaining, and load level.

The inverter features two 120-Volt outlets and 2 USB ports, along with an auto idle.

The tank is powered by gas which sits in a 1.2 gallon gas tank.  For remote start, the unit uses an 18V RYOBI ONE+ battery.

The pull start and push-button electric start options are located together on the side of the inverter.

The wheels aren’t too bad and will allow the user to move this around and without getting stuck on rocks, cords, and most other obstacles.

On the front end of the inverter, there is a telescoping handle so the user can easily move it from place to place one-handed.

Impressions

While I like the power, my favorite feature about this inverter is the noise level.  This is right up there with the quiet Honda inverters.  Yes, you can be next to this and actually have a conversation without yelling.

For me, this unit has a ton of features you don’t see on other inverters.  Yes, the Bluetooth is cool, but I really like the push-button starting option. Check out our video for the full review.

Wrap Up

Overall for the price, it’s hard to beat.  Some of the inverters that we have tested in the past cost a lot more and offer a lot less than this unit.  The remote start is a nice feature along with the push-button start.  With 1,800 running watts, you can pretty much power anything at home in case of power outages, to anything on your campground.
