As you know, Milwaukee Tool has the largest 12V line with their M12 line. Well now you can add one more tool to their line up. They just announced the Milwaukee Drain Snake. So now cleaning drain lines should be much easier. The new tool provides benefits of both handheld and floor-mounted drain cleaning machines. With this new drain snake, you can clean drains up to 25′ long.
According to Milwaukee Tool this is the only handheld unit with a fixed drum shield to protect the fixture and user from the spinning drum. With the snake drain weighing 10 lbs., it’s one of the lightest 2-1/2” drain snakes on the market. For easier cable feed, users can rest the tool on its flat base, freeing up a hand which is typically used to hold the tool. This makes it great for overhead, below the waist and confined spaces. In addition, the cables’ solid polymer core will not rust.

Yes! Finally, I never thought I would see the day, I have been debating getting the ryobi cordless snake but I have Milwaukee cordless lineup already, so this happy little guy can join my ranks seamlessly! #tiacrew
Well I love my m12 line of tools, and if what I read comes anywhere close to being what this tool delivers, then I’m in for a treat. I’m not sure if it’s geared towards the home diy’er or the maintenance crowd? I wouldn’t think a pro plumber would use this as his goto drain snake! But on a quick job he might! I can not wait to get my hands on this snake and give her a spin for myself …..
Yes, on a quick job, on a call that has a backed up kitchen sink or washing machine, I can usually do the job with a 25′ guy like this, and it can fit in my van well. There are larger auger at my disposal, but i can’t carry them all the time as they are much larger and designed for bigger pipes
I do not have to use a snake very offten but when i do i hate it. As all of you do i love tools, there is no dought about it. I think that this will change my attitude when i am cleaning out the pipes. I almost want to go stuff things down my toilet to clog it. Then i will tell my wife i need this tool or are Toilet is not funtional. Lol. The things we do for tools.
now i could really use this
Me too
I’m not a plumber but it looks like a tool ever homeowner could use
It’s about the price of one or two visits by the plumber to clear out of drain so not too bad.
