The maker of what some consider the best hand tools on the market, now has a high visibility backpack to go along with your tools. True, they already have backpacks on the market along with a rolling tool bag and a shoulder tool bag, but this is a little different. This is their high visibility backpack. So why would you want a high vis backpack? Well, it can come in handy for two reasons.
First, a high visibility backpack can not only let others see where you are and help keep you a little safer, but it is also great to help you find your bag. How many times has it been dusk and you are just finishing up a job? Before you know it, it’s dark outside and you have lost track of time. You look around and forgot where the heck your bag is. So you spend the next ten minutes retracing your steps to find your bag. Now with a hi-vis backpack, you should find it in no time.
One of the biggest pluses for a high vis backpack is the contrast. On the inside of the backpack, it’s also hi-vis. So instead of having a dirty tool against a black background, not you can have your dirty tool against a hi-vis background and easily detect what tool you need to grab. Pretty cool feature.
The backpack has a 7″ handle for the times you don’t want to throw it on your back and just want to carry it. Don’t worry, when Klein made this backpack, Klein made it tough. They designed it with 1680d Ballistic PolyeserSub brand to withstand tough environments.

Had a couple guys at work with a Klein back bag, but they failed in a year or so, I do wonder if this version is improved, because I like the reflective strips on this.. #tiacrew
While it looks like they put a lot of thought into this carry-all, I myself have been moving away from soft side tool storage. Other than the ability to carry this on your back, it lacks a certain amount of security as a job site storage option, for me. I suppose if I were an electrician who was carrying a specific tool set if would make sense, but for woodwork and cabinet installs, I have to scratch my head about what advantage this pack would give. A high visibility rolling hard case would suit my needs more…
Look at Platt tool cases, they make an AWESOME case in a bright yellow that I’ve used for about a year and a half now and have had no durability problems throwing it around doing plumbing/steam work.
