Klein tools is one of the oldest family owned and operated tool companies in America. It has expanded its test and measurement line with a new voltage tester that has a combined flashlight. It has the following features.
- Detects 12 – 1000V AC to cover both low and standard voltage
- Simultaneous visual and audible voltage indicators
- Bright flashlight can be used independent of voltage detection function
- Visual voltage indicator utilizes five vibrant LEDs for easy interpretation and viewing of voltage strength
- Audible voltage indicator beeps at a greater frequency the higher the voltage or the closer it gets to the voltage source
- “Auto Power-Off” conserves and extends battery life
- Screw-thread battery cap with o-ring ensures dustproof and waterproof ingress protection
- Pocket clip provides easy storage and quick access
- P67: Dustproof and waterproof
- Drop Protection: 6.6 ft. (2 m)
- Safety Rating: CAT IV 1000V
They should put a magnet on it as a stud finder too! Like the studpop thing you guys reviewed earlier. I have no idea if it’s possible but that would be cool!
That’s a great idea! There are some out there in the market but they aren’t very good. The ones I have seen have been cheaply made and don’t function well. I saw one at harbor freight and have heard it’s not good.
You would think this would be possible. I wonder if perhaps the frequencies and magnetic field becomes an issue when trying to stuff both into one unit. I really don’t know. It would be super cool to see the NCVT-3 or one similar that has a stud finder, it would make the perfect all in one.
Seems like they are following Flir’s lead on this one.
Really like this one! I was testing wires with my Klein tester with a flashlight in the other hand. My wish came true haha gunna get one of these.
Looks good,
Nice version of this kind of thing.
I have the original detector with no bells or whistles. I’m thinking why all the other stuff? The main job is to detect voltage & save me from shock. Don’t get me wrong I still want it, but only if the one I carry explodes. I also have a similar Milwaukee detector with a mini flashlight & it is helpful. Laters TIA
