Just a ham-handed do-it-yourselfer willing to spend a weekend on a job that would take a pro an hour to do. Just to save $20, haha!
Look forward to exploring the forum and asking some dumb questions!

Thanks Tony! I’ve been a shopping fool as of late, and this site isn’t curbing that any! Looking at the Kreg K5 pocket hole jig after seeing some videos on them. Of course they are a few years old now, so probably be a K6 around the corner…

Live Free or Die baby!!!!!! Love the north woods, spent some time atv’ing at Jericho last year and do quite a bit of hiking up there but believe it or not, I DO NOT SKI!!!!! The femur is a big honking bone and I’ve seen those break on the trails!
Ha, tell me about it… Recovering from an auto accident from a couple months ago. Smashed hip, split the ball in half, broke femur… Just started putting some weight on it.

Femurs are also meant to stay on the inside of your leg! I’m pretty sure if I went skiing that would not be the case for me! Oh and welcome to the forum by the way!

Wild,

I had pins in my hips when I was young same spot !!! Treated for a slipped epiphysis …. Hardly walked for 3 years…
They are in my safe now, they took them out… Sure as hell look like stainless steel deck screws !!!!
Thanks for the encouragement fg! These will be staying put, unless I end up with an artificial one.
Welcome to the crew Todd!!
