Aloha- Foes anyone have any tips on what cleans the black rubber overmolding on the 20v Mac line specifically? I know the manual says just use water but I keep having so much dust coating my handles it’s making my grips about slippery. Thanks so much for any ideas on this. #TIACREW
I use water and a little bit of dawn, or a tub o’ towels or some WD-40. [External image (uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com), not copied] I got my darling sprayed in some “organic liquid fertilizer” while removing a butterfly valve that broke in the closed position. Dawn and WD40 followed by a clean rag got her looking brand new.
The Macs are just rebranded DeWalts so I think it is safe to assume it is the same rubber.
Love the wipes idea, I do that myself…. my favorite tho is called Hercules wipes, a little elbow grease too, really brings out the red in my Milwaukee tools

I use wipes too. My Milwaukee tools look new when I’m done cleaning them.
I’d use wipes as well. At work I’ll use the scrub wipes that they give us for our hands for the tools. It cleans the tools without hurting the material. A few guys sprayed brakleen on the impacts and some rubber on the handles broke down.
Yeah I only use braklean on completely metal parts, brakes, and when I need a hand cleaner that works.
