March Tool Giveaway – Vote Now

KatoMember since Jan 2014

I vote for Protool. He’s an epic flake and talks way too much, but he’s a cool guy too and deserves a nice win.

comp56Member since Sep 2014

to bad the vote couldn’t be secret so the winner gets a surprise in case it is a landslide of votes during the voting period. possibly by PMing 1 person the vote and at the end show the actual vote counts and the winner…….

comp56Member since Sep 2014

well it doesn’t have to be Eric, it can be someone else that is part of the forum….

I like the silent vote Idea. I think it would be simple enough to make a poll using Google forms and link to it in a thread, the only issue with that would be identity verification. I don’t know, is there an option built into the site where you can do polls where you enter your own response, instead of the usual multiple choice. Then you could make the results private. The other thing is that it would be nice to put it up and leave a week before voting was allowed so people who wanted to exclude themselves from the giveaway to say so no one would waste a vote on them. Like I wouldn’t want to win this giveaway or a festool giveaway or something like that. Not because I don’t like the tools, but because I like tools to be used and they’d just collect dust in my hands. If there were a tool that I’d use (Metabo 6.13074.64) I’d love to get in on the giveaway.

I don’t know I think the current way is the easiest to do and least complicated.

And I’m sure the less expensive too. Remember everything cost something. Would you like more freebies or blind balloting? I can’t imagine what the postage bill is for TIA. So be thankful and work with what we got and I’m sure they will try to do their best to change it if they can. Thanks guys.

not sure what you mean,  blind voting will change postage fees?

I’m just saying that any changes to,the site to set up blind balloting for one giveaway will have to cost something, in money or time. Time is money. And I mentioned postage fees because of all the things they giveaway. Postage is not free. One thing has nothing to due with the other, but to say there is a cost. That’s all.

Thankyou for the kind comments. Yo, you like them mini coupers, as do I! I loved the souped up ones you see in the movie The Italian Job, that was the movie that made me love them little mini coupers. Watch them fly in and out of traffic like the wind. hehe

I do love them mate but the Classic Mini’s are a little too small for me now but I want to get hold of one to restore, my next one of the BMW owned ones will be a John Cooper Works I think, or a Countryman S with 4WD for the shitty winters up here!

everything’s good over here bro just take it day by day man and I fully understand man technology hasn’t made anything easier in the car auto life at all we’ve probably spent over an extra 3grand updating our snap on diagnostic machine within the past few years buying new chips and programs for everything new out there….. Good luck my Friend and and if you need anything were all here for ya man!

thanks Big Mike, it might be weird to some people but knowing a community of guys like the TIA crew are there and are willing to help with advice and opinions helps a lot, its not only the technology I’m out of touch with its the fact that I’m in a foreign country trying to find work as well, the automotive trade in Canada is a lot different to the UK! But on the up side I have an interview with a company called United Rentals on Thursday for a technician job, they rent construction equipment so it’ll be a bit less complicated than cars…lol
