I ran into some really sweet spalted maple a couple months ago at a really good price. I’ve been able to make Michigan cutting boards with it.
Here are three that I finished up this weekend. The one in the middle was made up from scrap strips that I had laying around from when I made glue up cutting boards.
Sweet……nice job welcome to the forum if I havent welcomed you already….
Pretty sweet stuff there!

Nice boards!
Those cutting boards look awesome! Although the one in the middle is boarding Buckeye Colors LOL. BTW, just because I am living on OH, does not make me a Buckeye LOL…. I’m a lifelong Badger!
Great job John, those are some gorgeous pieces of maple and the boards look fantastic!
Those look really nice
Hey my home state!

Those look awesome man,I love the grain patterns.
Welcome to the forum. Those are some sweet cutting boards. Love the wood grain. Looks like more of something I would hang on the wall than cut my food on. Nice job
Here’s a cool piece of spalted that’s on its way to become another cutting board.[External image (uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com), not copied]

Have you ever tried using beeswax dissolved in mineral oil? I hear that you can get good results, but have never witnessed it first hand.
I have not, but I have heard the same thing. Mineral oil is just really easy and can be reapplied by anyone.
