Hey everyone. I’ve posted a few questions in other forums but I wanted to introduce myself formally. My name is Tommy and I live in Queens, NY. How did everyone fair with the snow storm??

KnarlyCarlMember since Jan 2016

Hi Tommy, no snow here in Ohio.

What do you you there in Queens?

Good to meet ya Tommy. We had around 10 to 12 inches here in the mountains of NC. And not 35 miles from my home they had recored snow falls in Mnt Mitchell NC. 66 inches in one day. And 44 inches in less than a hour.

T75RMember since Jan 2016

Wow. 66 inches is no joke. We got about 35 inches here in Queens in about a day. Had to dig my truck out about four times lol. Needless to say I did not go to the gym the past 3 days haha

ChrisKMember since Dec 2012

Welcome to the forum Tommy! As far as the storm goes, we lucked out in NH. I hope all is going well for all you guys.

comp56Member since Sep 2014

Welcome to the forum!!  Got an average of 2-2.5 feet here in the Philly area.  Snow drifts galore.

T75RMember since Jan 2016

That pic is great. Definitely could’ve used that team over the weekend. Lol

T75RMember since Jan 2016

Luckily it’s been semi warm. So a lot is melting and clearing up the roads. Although it’s real fun driving my truck in the shower!

alexaeschtMember since Jan 2016

Welcome Tommy! Last week it was 42 degrees Celsius (~107 Fahrenheit) here in south-east Australia. Needless to say, no snow storms for me lol.

T75RMember since Jan 2016

Thanks Alex! Seriously 107 in Australia? I would love to visit lol

Grew up in Elmhurst, and worked in Maspeth for many years and got to know Ridgewood well during that time. Living on Long Island now.

Still have a lot of family and friends in Queens…

T75RMember since Jan 2016

Very nice. I actually moved here about five years ago. I grew up in Staten Island. Saving up to move up north.

funkiejackMember since Feb 2016

Welcome t75r, just joined myself also from queens ny

red tool addictMember since Feb 2016

Just finished digging my car out. We got a little more than a foot in western Iowa but I had a drift that buried 90% of my car!

T75RMember since Jan 2016

Snow here has finally started to disappear despite the unseasonably warm weather. I’m sure funkie jack can attest to the crazy snow we got almost a week ago

funkiejackMember since Feb 2016

Hell yeah even with my two stage blower, took quite a few passes.. And still a lot of shoveling where the blower couldn’t get to. Good thing this past week has been warm.

Yeah he was really loyal. I have grandmal seizures, and while my wife was at work, I decided to have one. He sat on my chest and licked my face until I came around. No one taught him that, he was one of the smartest dogs. He saved my life, because I often stopped breathing when I had these seizures.

Its amazing how dogs know when something is wrong, I’ve worked with some rescue dogs thug are more than just an animal they are your partner and best friend especially service dogs kb the military that work with soldiers on the front line, some kg the greatest animals.

Sorry to hear about your dog Chad. I’m a dog person myself. They really ate the best. Sheppards are just an exceptional breed though

chadlanthierMember since Mar 2013

Brought him home as a pup and he asked for the door from day 1. It wasn’t until we brought a female home that wasn’t house trained, that he peed in the house. She would have an accident and he would go and pee on it. Thanks guys.
