Lowe’s deals permathread

Archived from the Tools In Action forum (Tool Deals). This thread is read-only.

I figured we could use a thread for Lowe’s clearance items, now with these sales your milage may vary due to Lowe’s pricing being a per-store system. This thread is meant for closeout items and not advertised sales(though those can also be posted but probably deserve their own tread). You can post pics that show the price and item number or you may describe the item and price. Please post your city, if not your store number(or street name) so we know where these deals are located.

I saw but didn’t think about taking a pic of the 1/4″ and 3/8″ SAE and Metric 11-piece socket sets(no ratchet) for under $10

Also, $1.50-$3 individual Kobalt crowsfeet and xtreme access sockets back on sale. http://www.lowes.com/Search=kobalt+xtreme+access?storeId=10151&langId=-1&catalogId=10051&N=0&newSearch=true&Ntt=kobalt+xtreme+access#

I didn’t catch that the blower included a 5ah battery until I read your post. That is an awesome deal.

agreed. you know it’s a good value when the battery alone would cost more than the combo is on sale for… definitely worth checking out

DR99Member since Nov 2012

I would love to have one of the Dewalt blowers except I don’t think any of the stores near me ever carried it 🙁

SarbatcheMember since Oct 2014

I don’t need the blower – I just wanted the battery. I already have the 40V blower. I could sell the blower only for $50 + S&H.

BigmikezMember since Jun 2013

Wo Wait!!! 99$ For the blower!!!?!??? R u kidding me that’s a freaking hell of a deal!! My wifey got me mine for 179$ makes me wanna pick up another one for my gramps!

William SMember since Jul 2015

the 20V blower is pretty rare here inthe stores too

BMack37Member since Sep 2015

That is just an insane deal, even at $200 it’s a pretty good price. I don’t need a blower but I’m still seriously considering making the rounds at various Lowe’s to find one…they don’t even have the blower on their site.

. Bmack I recommend it man I have it and it’s a very impressive blower to have and runtime is awesome compared to others it’s really light weight and easy to maneuver, I would pick up another if I could.

Because $99 the day before wasn’t doing the job. So I bought the display. Now I have 2 bare tool blowers to sell…

BigmikezMember since Jun 2013

Man that’s a sweet deal man!!!

krutonMember since Jun 2015

Are they making room for a new model? Sorry, I’m not up on new stuff from Dewalt if they have already announced a new model. That is a great deal either way!

Checked lowes near my work today and they didn’t have it.

I noticed that they took the 20V blower off of their site, it used to be on there. They must be dropping it not only from local stores but all stores.

William SMember since Jul 2015

It just came out in what June so I don’t think they are bringing out a new model, I just think that it hasn’t done well at Lowes so they are dropping them and moving on.

William SMember since Jul 2015

I called my local Lowes and the guy was rude and didn’t seem all that interested in helping me out. He’s probably telling all of his buddies to buy them out lol. No but Lowes really does have some of the worst service I have ever seen. Never around when you need someone to help you out. At this point I think they see me coming and hide. Oh well acmetools will get my local business because the service is top notch.

I gave my local Lowes a look today as well, no 20v, but they did have the 40v at $20 off.

BigmikezMember since Jun 2013

Man I really gotta get to my lowes!!!

Lowe’s has the WORST customer service of all time. I will ONLY ever buy items at Lowe’s if it’s on sale. If Home Depot had a greeter that punched me in the face every time I entered the store, I’d still prefer to shop at Home Depot.

BTW, I’m happy to see this thread start to gain some traction. Is there interest in permathreads for Sears, Amazon(Warehouse) and HD? I really like this community and I think deal threads are the way to help it grow and obviously help our current members. I don’t mind doing some leg work and research to do my part. There are some deals that I haven’t posted simply because I didn’t think it was thread-worthy and don’t want to be one of those guys that starts a million different threads.

That sucks when Lowes removes a clearance item from their webpage. Cool thing about Lowes over HD is they show each stores clearance prices. HD you can only check clearance prices in-store.

99_XC600Member since Jun 2015

I’m going to throw these on here. I’ve been watching these since they 1st came out in the Spring but couldn’t justify the $50 price on them. Now that they’ve dropped to $20, I’m grabbing them. These are re-branded NWS German made pliers.

I used the link and checked all the stores in my area and these are showing as $39.98. Are you finding the price at the store to be $20 even though the online price shows something different? I know HD doesn’t necessarily show accurate in store pricing, but I wanted to make sure Lowes was the same way before making the trek out there.

Mine is showing the same online(Tampa). When I went last week, they weren’t on sale. They had some other Irwin stuff on sale, like that stupid vise grips with a knife glued to the handle.

99_XC600Member since Jun 2015

Not sure, what happened. They were $20 last night.

They could be rolling out a sale. I’ve seen it hit some stores weeks ahead of others…sometimes some stores never get the sale. I’ll check my store and report back Saturday before the hockey game starts 🙂

BMack37Member since Sep 2015

went to Lowe’s today, still $40 here 🙁

Nothing new sale-wise to report. Though I did find two carts filled with Dewalt and other Stanley/B&D brands batteries and chargers…no specific tags or reason they were there, may be an upcoming clearance. I’ve noticed those carts tend to find themselves next to the hidden away clearance table. There were 20v batteries but no Dewalt 20v batteries in the carts, just various post-style packs.

99_XC600Member since Jun 2015

It’s odd to say the least. Since in July they had dropped the price to $35 on the pliers and $30 on the dykes.

All my Lowes seem to be out of stock of the 20v blower or still at the 199 price.

LOL, nothing much. 🙁 I thought about bringing those Skil bits home but I don’t have any experience with them. I only left with some number plates for my malbox. That mini grease gun was really tempting but things sit on that clearance table forever, I don’t think many people know it’s there at all…still has the 18v Hitachi drill for $20 after over a month. You could easily double your money on craiglist with that one.

The.HandymanMember since Aug 2015

My local Lowes had 6 of the DeWalt 20v trimmer at $179 sale price. That priced dropped to $143 for a while, none sold. Just checked again, a week after the $143 price drop, and they are back up to the full $199 price. I purchased the last blower in my area Lowes locations last month.

Darn good deals IMO, thinking about picking one up though I don’t really need them.

One thing of note, keep an eye out on any of the boxed sets. Previously, the Kobalts in the molded cases were ALWAYS made in Taiwan(after the first two generations that were made in the USA). This past week I noticed they have a couple sets that are made in China in molded cases. Previously the Chinese tools were in the clear packages or in the plastic cases with a clear top. So make sure you check the back, Taiwan is good stuff but the Chinese sockets are ok for light duty but the ratchets suuuuuuuuuck. Individual sockets will list COO unless it’s a Chinese, those only have make and part number otherwise they look the same.

I just ordered this guy. It’s not the Bluetooth, but for $40 I couldn’t pass it up. Plus I don’t use bluetooth for my music.
