Been trying to organize myself better in the shop I have a pouch but never wear it just keep it close to the bench and take what I need as I work or just lay out hand tools on the table. Curious to see how everyone else works.

I’m all over the place my pants pockets are keeper of all. I have a small master craft clip pouch I use for screws. Holds about 200 or so for assembly which is more than I ever need. But I have the worst habit of setting a tool down and forgetting where I put it. Good thread looking forward to more answers. I think most will say they are just as unorganized while they work

I have an old apron my grandpa always wore when he was working in his woodshop. When he passed away I got it so I generally use it, not so much that I’m an apron guy, but more for sentimental value. It is pretty handy though with the pouches and it keeps a little bit of shop grime off the clothes.

NER (John) gave me a cool Festool apron I have been using at the lathe. Slick as snot. Really nice quality apron and it fits a bunch of tools.
I just use a little pouch. I don’t like having a big belt on me. It makes me feel constricted!!
I got shit all over my bench miter stand and tool cabinet . Feel like I spend more time looking for tools then working. Thinking about nice pull out draw under my bench with my most used tools with kiazen foam

I have everything stored somewhat organized in the shop and in my truck. When I start a project I gather all the tools I think I will need, put a tape on my pocket a pencil in my hat and start. By the end of it all I have stuff everywhere. At work I mainly work out of the bed of my truck with my pouches on.
I try to hang most of my most used tools in my garage on peg boards but still I find myself looking for tools all the time.
I use my veto when I work it mostly in the jobsite

I work out of my truck so there’s not much room for stuff to go…stuff is mainly on the tailgate or in my hand.
