Thanks.
Still have a lot lot planned for the project. More pics and updates coming soon. Lol
After a long hiatus there has been some progress on this project. Been busy with work ( Got Promoted ) and life in general.
The Northeast is in the middle of a drought and the backyard suffered some damage due to the heat stress and not being established. I’ll need to repair some of the dead spots in the fall. But overall it’s still looking pretty good.
Finally started installing the fence today. Had my local fence supplier weld some 2″ tubes to some base plates I had fabricated so I could create some surface mounts for the posts to slide over. Picked the fencing material at Lowes. last night and got to it on Saturday.
Got the back wall and the garage side done. Will be making the turn and going up the yard in a couple of weeks. Need to save up some money to finish it off.

Congratulations on the promotion, @99_XC600!!
This is looking nice, what’s the wood base you screwed your posts to made out of?
Thanks!
The timbers are 6×6 treated rated for ground contact with a 30 year lifespan.
Looks great brotha! Thanks for taking us on the journey of the big fill ?
No problem!
I’m hoping to have it finished on the 8th , But I’m in the middle of a VOIP conversion where I work and I have a feeling I’m going to be in the office pretty much all next weekend.
Congrats on promotion Bro! I should be starting my brick walls on side of yard with a buddy of mine hopefully they don’t come out lol sided lol!
Looks great. I always hate looking at things like this because it makes me feel so lazy.

Any issues you can blame it on your Buddy! That’s what they’re for. 🙂

Thanks Eric!
Finally finished the fence up a couple of weeks ago. Just getting around to posting the pics though. 🙂
Very happy with how the fence came out. It was relatively easy to install once we got the basics down.
The project took a little bit longer than anticipated due to life and the decision to pay off some bills before we moved forward on it. Have a couple of items left to do. We’ll be putting up a 4′ vinyl picket fence on the driveway side in the spring to contain our 2 dogs as well as redoing the walkway that leads to the driveway.
