Hi
it´s been quiet about the “tool”
…. any news on the model number / price / availability ???
There was some pictures at the Media event, but haven´t heard more
[External image (toolguyd.com), not copied]
Nothing on the little blower yet. A good chunk of the tools were late 2015 early 2016 availability.
I think the radio and blower were expected to release in october. Toolguyd has a great article about all of the Dewalt 2015 releases.
why is there NO model number yet ????????????????
the radio has a model number but I can’t find the number for the mini blower.
DCE100B It’s on Home Depots site listed for $99.
No speed or CFM ratings…must be pretty pitiful. I’ll stick with the big boy, works great.

I agreed its like what are they going to do next make a 12v blower that only lasts 4 mins on a battery.

its mainly for blowing away concrete dust and wood shavings, maybe clean the bench off. Milwaukee has one out already so they aren’t the only ones.

Has it been officially released yet? I am wondering if the specs will be listed once it hits the shelves? I will definitely be picking one up for the workshop, to replace the good ol’ manual workbench brush and broom. When I post my plans for my floor dust collection system, it will make more sense LOL.

If memory serves, full-size 20V blower is $99 bare.
$200 with a 5.0Ah batt. And brushless.
lowes has them right now for $179 for the brushless
yeah I got mine for $179 with the 5.0 at Lowes, I haven’t seen anyplace that sells the bare tool around me.
My wifey an kiddos got mine for $199 on Father’s Day and that’s my go to 90% of the time I just used my gas one yesterday to just use it

The specs for the big boy were listed before it was released on HD’s website. So I’m extrapolating.
They got the 20v lawn tools in stock late in the season. Stores don’t want to sit on them the entire winter.

Yea I hadn’t considered it. Winter doesn’t exist here.

Ok ok, cool – I never looked at the other ones, since I don’t have a need for them. Your right, it’s odd that they didn’t list the specs on this one.

Picked up the large 20v blower kit from Lowes for $179 – 10% discount coupon – $10 off $50 coupon. What a steal. I sold the charger for $30 as I had plenty. I love this full size blower, so convenient and great at cleaning sawdust off my tools before I pack them away.
I would still love to try this new mini blower as I feel it could be very useful as well.

Not bad, but not having a variable speed trigger like the big model (which is fantastic) is a mistake IMO. Flipping switches to feather power to make a material pile in the middle of a room without blowing it all over the place won’t be fun.
I think the power and weight are a good ratio, and for guys that like to blow off their tools at the end of the day (like I do with the big guy) this is perfect.

I have difficulty understanding this. Do you mean it will be available for purchase in October or they’ll start shipping out in October?

Both
Any extra available details on this little blower? Tis the month…
It’s a nice novelty. I’ve always wanted one for the work trailer since Makita released there’s a while back.
Spotted two in a Home Depot today.

This always confuses me. You’d think that it would be available online before you could buy it in store since it had to go through the distribution center before it shipped to the store. But that doesn’t seem to be the case. I preordered my 20v miter saw and it was in stores 2 days before I got it. :-\
Also spotted a 5 piece Combo in a DS400 tough box.
Anyone picking up one?
I will be getting one for my business partner as a thank you gift. He remarked one day that he loved my big blower but would like one compact for cleaning tools and small jobs which he borrows mine for all the time. I’ll report how he likes it.

Which part of a Houston Ricky? I’m planning on doing a Home Depot run with some birthday gift cards and this item is on my list.
Northwest/290. It’s not on the shelf yet. I spotted them in the MET/No Home section.
Thanks for the heads up, that place is on my way home from work, might try to sneak a peek. I wonder if they’ve got the finish nailer hidden away some place as well.
Does anyone know if Home Depot has a street date that they can or cannot break to sell items?
Not that I am aware of. I spotted the new clear top Tough Boxes up top and scanned it at self check out to check price. Full price even though the item was inactive.
If it’s in the store, you can buy it. The MET team just hasn’t had new planograms yet to put the item on the shelf.
