Nice work man. The section by the columns where the hardwood splits the carpet is interesting. Any particular reason the owner chose to carry the hardwood like a walkway between the two sections of carpet? Just curious.

I be honest I don’t know, but I think it was because she didn’t want the carpet to get flat on the main walking area. It leads from the kitchen and garage to the bedrooms, office and, basement.

That’s cool. I was just curious. Either way it’s a Damn good looking job. Are you from Indiana or just working there?

Why would having an electrical outlet on the floor be against code? People do that for power recliners or lamps in the middle of a floor so you won’t have cords all over.

Wow that’s a beautiful job.

not saying they can’t be there just saying the way they look is not code, according to our ontario code allows them as long as they are installed in an approved box designed to protect the receptacle from water and dust penetration.

need a box something like this…..

Love the floor, I wish we could do hardwood here but the humidity is too high here.

I can’t say i like the homeowners choice to have a path of hardwood but I have to say you did an awesome job that floor looks amazing! My vote is always hardwood throughout. Carpet is dirty, I don’t like carpet lol.

I think carpet is dirty too, but solid floors suck on your feet
