Milwaukee tools Deal of the Day from Home Depot:

http://www.homedepot.com/SpecialBuy/SpecialBuyOfTheDay

Home Depot has several deals on Milwaukee tools, the most notable being the 10 inch cordless miter saw for $469!

StercorariusMember since Dec 2015

Just don’t get the impact wrench kit. That’s similar price to a brushless model. I bought that kit three years ago on sale for $200. Not exactly cutting edge.

Ryan JacobMember since Sep 2017

I ended up buying the saw.  I had some coupons which got me another $40 plus about another discount off with some American Express points I’ve had forever.  Needless to say by the time I added it all up I ended up buying this saw for about $261!!!

I just bought the mid-torque. We’ll see if I need the big gun, as well. I kinda doubt it. The high torque would probably just pick my Jeep up and flip it over. LOL

Now I want to see someone lift the drive tires on a manual and start their car by spinning the wheels with one.

Framer joeMember since Nov 2016

It would help taking lugs off our machines, lull etc…when we get a flat….

…..gotta love jeeps…I have a 06 rubi…..I think the mid torque is probably enough for anything on the Jeep

I already have 3/8″ Fuel Compact in M12 and M18 variety. But when I pull the front shackle hangers off I kinda doubt the M18 will do the job. I’ve not had any problems with lug nuts with either, but then I’m pretty neurotic about keeping brake dust off of my wheels, to the point of yanking them off the rig. So therefor, the lug threads are clean and usually put some anti-seize or grease on ’em. Granted, all my rigs are 1/2 tons. A 1 ton dually might be a bit more of a challenge.

I gotta say Milwaukee designed a unique system, or did they just stuff a drill , battery and charger in a packout ? If it was designed that way, very clever….good job

ACME Tools has a sale on the 10in Fuel Sliding Miter Saw kit for $479 with an extra tool or 9.0 ah battery.

http://www.acmetools.com/shop/tools/milwaukee-2734-21hd

A bit more info – for the extra tool you get to choose from the  Sawzall, the Mid-Torque 1/2″ wrench and the grinder – all Fuel models.  Seems like a heck of a deal.

justinkendallMember since Dec 2016

Looks like the best Milwaukee deal is buying either the 10″ Miter Saw Kit ($599), Impact & Hammer Drill Kit w/ 2 5.0ah ($399), or One-Key Impact & Hammer Drill Kit w/ 2 5.0ah ($499) and you get a free tool of either FUEL Sawzall ($199), Rocket LED Tower Light ($199), 9.0ah battery ($169), Mid-Torque Impact ($189), or 7-1/4″ Circular Saw ($229).

Non-Milwaukee sales that look good:

$99 Makita Impact or Drill kit sale is back again this year. I guess a lot of people jumped on them last year.

3pc ToughSystem or Ridgid Pro boxes are $98.

Bosch 6PC Daredevil Spade Bit Set with 2 free bits is only $4.97.

77FordMember since Dec 2014

Rocket light drops to $123 after promo. Check store stock some still have the free 5.0 battery and charger. Same Sku…picked up one this week

Found HD 2017 BF ad. The link says 2016, but when you actually go to the page, its the 2017 ad… http://www.thecouponingcouple.com/home-depot-black-friday-2016-ad/

Bit of a let down to be honest. It seems, for the most part, everything listed on the ad is already on sale or are current promotions. Of course I’m only speaking in regards to the power tools.

Oh well, thanks for the heads up!

Hmm, a single BL1830B Makita battery retails for $99, wonder what I could get for the tool and charger on eBay, might be a reasonable way to get a couple more batteries for a good deal.

Edit: $22, if the impact and charger can be sold for the price that I see them selling for on eBay (111 impacts sold at $50, and 70 chargers sold at $27) then each 3.0 battery would end up costing me around $22.

I buy at least a half a dozen sets every time that deal comes around, even though I have almost no use for the smaller diameters. A nail strike or two and just chuck them.

tell me your vote…

1) $199 = M12 Gen 1 FUEL impact driver and FUEL hammer drill with 2.0 and 4.0 batteries  PLUS  the new m12 stapler

or

2) $229 = M12 Gen 2 FUEL impact driver and FUEL hammer drill with 2.0 and 4.0 batteries.

Do y’all think the Gen 2 is worth the extra cost and not getting a free tool?

I’m not a Milwaukee tool fanboy, but I am a Milwaukee Fuel snob (meaning the only red tools I own are Fuel models).  As such, I’m not the best suited to answer this, but unless you want the features of the Gen 2 (smaller and with slightly higher specs?), I’d save the $30 and get the free $99 stapler.

I’ve got the stapler and it’s pretty awesome so my vote would be for option 1.

I bought the gen1 kit on this deal with the stapler and ended up returning the kit when the gen2 became available as I hadn’t used the gen1 kit yet. I kept the stapler but was only refunded 132 and some change so the stapler cost 66 and I bought the gen2 kit for 129. Yes, It’s definitely worth it for me. No doubt. The gen1 kit tools are larger than most of my 18v tools. HD offers a free 2ah battery if you buy the gen2 kit online and in some stores. I was fortunate to get the free battery offer in-store but would have purchased either way.

did you do all this at home depot? I also bought the gen 1 kit with stapler but returned it and bought the gen 2 for $179. However i was hoping to keep the stapler but they wouldn’t do a return without it.

I guess I was lucky. I was prepared to keep the gen 1 kit if they wanted me to return the stapler and I would have just gotten the gen2 kit anyway. I figured that I would have bought the stapler regardless for 99 and the batteries were worth the additional 100 so it was like getting two tools for free in my mind when I bought the gen1 kit. I did still end up with a 66 dollar loss after the return but also kept the stapler. I might be a little addicted to buying tools. I just tell myself that good tools make me money, they don’t cost me money.

Home Depot had the M18 FUEL™ 7-1/4” Circular Saw, rapid charger, and 9mah battery on sale for $236. Is that a good buy?

It’s a decent deal if you need a saw, but certainly not “drop everything and run out and buy it NOW” good.  Sometimes, you’ll see these combos down to 199 or even lower, but they usually get snapped up by then.

Daniel JulianMember since Dec 2015

Saw the old rocket light bare tool (2130-20) on clearance endcap for $175. Also had the one-key sawzall for $200. Seems like clearance at local stores is pretty random. You can still get the bare tool rocket light with free 5.0 battery and charger for $200. Might wait to see if it drops below $175; they had 4 left.

Dang. I just blew $319 on the mitersaw at CPO. Great deal and now that I’ve been running the pum with 2 9.0s it was easy to argue the purchase. I was going to get the Flexvolt but…smaller is going to fit me better I think.

JerryNYMember since Jun 2015

I scored a great deal on the large Packout box. I needed a water resistant tool box for when I take my car to the track this week up in Lime Rock with rain possibly in the forecast. I saw only one store had limited availability of the box and wanted to see it in person to judge if it would fit in the trunk. When I showed up it had a piece of copy paper on top saying $129 and looked like it might have been a return or just a store demo box so I wheeled it over to the pro desk and asked the guy if he could do better on the price because it looked like a return. He said sure and took me over to the register and gave me $50 off.

I’m thrilled because  I was just gonna spend nearly as much on some cheaper rigid or husky box but my store had tons of those with half of them with broken latches sitting on the shelves. I had to put a moving blanket down in the back seat to get it home but figured the top handle looked removable and when I got it home with two screws removed the handle slides right out and fits perfectly in the trunk!
