Belt Sanders?

Anyone know what happened to DeWalt’s line of belt sanders?

I’ve been looking for a decent DW432 or DW433 for a while, but I can’t seem to find anything new, and the used ones I find are trashed…

Any ideas?

Just the same, it appears DeWalt may have stopped making them…

Anyone have any info, confirming or denying?

From what I remember the last time someone asked that Dewalt did discontinue belt sanders. If you want the Dewalt sander you would have to find someone that has old stock of the sanders.

Something is on the way later this year..

So I found one at a pawn shop today for $80 out the door. Contemplating if I should get it.

I ended up getting it for $40. Not a bad find. It had fair reviews from what I found. Just something to add to my black and yellow collection.

I was actually reading a lot of reviews lately, that said people were burning up motors pretty quickly, in the old models.

Kind of why I’m willing to wait for a new model.

I believe the model I got was a gen 4 or 5 DW431. Nothing bad that I saw.

I’ve been looking for a decent one for a while. Every once in a while, I’d see one listed on a yard sale group on Facebook, or at a yard sale. But, every one I found was beat to hell.

Hope you have better luck with yours. I’m jealous, if you found a good one!

I really need a belt sander, but I refuse to go off my brand. Haha.
