I just saw the pictures that were posted up on Facebook, and I can’t wait until the new Dewalt tools hit the market. As an electrician, I will really find the threaded rod cutter a time saver, and I am glad I held off on purchasing the bandsaw for the 20V system. The new version is looking like it will be worth the wait. I will say that I am kicking myself for breaking down this weekend and purchasing the Dewalt 12 / 20V job site radio……It’s great and all, but having one in the Tough System format would be SO much better. I’ll have to find someone to buy my radio when the Tough System one releases. The only item I am not real sure of is the bluetooth 20V batteries. I’m not sure how useful that feature will be, and I’m sure that the addition of Bluetooth is going to drive the price outside of what I can afford. I will reserve my final judgement on these until I’ve seen them in action.
You can return the Dewalt radio if you don’t really need it right now. You actually have 90 days.

I just bought the Bandsaw…..coming today. I think I will be returning it because the new one looks like a beast.
It all depends on what your using the band saw for. If your cutting small stuff the extra expense and weight you have to haul around might not be worth it.
The Bluetooth batteries can be cool if they have actual information i.e. number of charges cycles, or even on it I can see it being useful for a DIYer like myself so I can see what battery I should be using, but a contractor I think would be cycling through there batteries pretty consistently.
The tough radio seems cool, but I don’t have any Tough systems. I am interested on what else is coming down the river.
I don´t have a facebook account; and I don´t want one !

AGREE100% with u on that Poison! This is my Facebook
I only got a Facebook account because I thought I needed one to create an account on this forum, and the only “friend” I have is my Wife, lol.
Wish I could see all the new DeWalt tools as well. Does anyone know if they have any brushless saws in the works? I’m thinking about going Milwaukee FUEL unless DeWalt comes out with something cool.
Nalu I was gonna do the same thing but I use my wife’s account man and I hate that when I leave comments on the T.I.A FB it looks like my wife is all over Dan and Eric LOL!! And Im with U Nalurash I really hope they come out with a brushless circular saw full size and a brushless grinder and sawzall those would be great!!
really like them and glad to see that they are working hard on the 20volt lineup. i think the bluetooth batteries will be perfect for the grab and go contractor, where when u need ur drill it has to have a full battery and also not pulling out all ur batteries to check the charge, but even then i’m not really sure what to think about it.
I don’t see any new tools on their fb page???
I’m with PaulE, I didn’t see any new tools on Dewalt’s FB page either.
Here is some coverage from the event:

Because this even was more for media only!! They are allowed to post about new tools, but Dewalt will probably announce them closer to the actual release date on their own social media accounts. Some of the tools they showed are going to be released next year. I have to say I was surprised that the motors were made here. I though that the plant was only for final assembly. I was also surprised to see 18v tools still being made
So happy to see the Tough Sound being publicly announced. I have been stretching out the life expectancy of my pawn shop 18V radio while waiting for this!
The threaded rod cutter looks handsome too
I want more details on the new ToughSystem radio!!
Pics of the threaded rod cutter???

Ditto! Can’t find anything.
About this threaded rod cutter… Was all-thread ever too expensive? Maybe I’m just not seeing the professional application. I would think that cutting tapered pipe thread would be more useful.

Lots of pictures of the event over on TIA’s Facebook… https://www.facebook.com/toolsinaction
The threaded rod cutter is a most for commercial pipe fitters and hvac installers. The tool I want more information on is the dcn660 finish nailer.
Looking at the picture of the threaded rod cutter, I hope it’s going to have some kind of length stop for repeated cutting of studs.
Oh… Does the threaded rod cutter just cut all-thread to length? I was thinking that it cut threads into blank rods. Here I am making things too complicated.
Agree overanalyze I’m debating wether I should sell my first 20v radio for this one.
Thanks for the pic. That is pretty cool. I use all thread often, but not enough to justify buying one.
If Dewalt have made a radio to go with the tough system, what do you think the chances of a T STAK system one?? I only have a few tough boxes that don’t really come out of my van. But I have loads of the T STAK boxes as I have transferred all my power tool in to them.
Has anyone got any more info on the radio? like what is under the yellow lid on top? Is it storage for your phone or IPod while it is connected. or is it something else?? where is the battery connected? Is it going to be available as a DAB radio?
Is the June release for the mitre saw US only or will we see this in Europe at the same time does anybody know?
citting threaded rod with a recip saw, you can often damage the first thread or two making it difficult the thread into a nut. I’m sure this cuts clean and at a slight pitch to make threading on nuts easy.
The finish nailer is nice I like the rapid fire. I will end up buying one.
I was hoping for a brushless circular or sawzall.

Yeah that finish nailer is looking really nice. I’m with you, I was hoping to see more brushless saws by DeWalt.
It’s great that they are making more tools here in the US though. Nice to see proudly made or assembled in America.
They have a bracket where you can attack t-stacks to the Dewalt dust extractor.
DooDar if u ddnt c the guys video last night here it is. Did anyone one hear if it can charge UR phone while plugged in like the there little Bluetooth radio? It looks awesome either way I can’t wait to pick this up when it comes out.
The usb also charges.
NIICE!! I’m gonna c the video again when I go on break
that’s sounds sweet. I’ll have to pickup both when I can. Thank youDR99 wrote:

I own this one with tstak attachments from the get-go. Don’t know if it’s available in the states. Really nice vacuum by the way.http://www.dewalt.fi/powertools/productdetails/catno/DWV901LT/NaluRash wrote:

Not enough demand in the U.S. for the tstack vac attachment. Plus you’d have to remove the t-stack every time you empty the vacuum. Not saying it will never come to the states, I was just told a while ago that there were no plans.
Im sooo jealous of you europe…
Love the new tools, I’ve been anxiously awaiting the finish nailer and the blower is a nice touch. Do you guys think there are additional tools previewed that can’t be discussed yet? Perhaps a cordless orbital sander?
Awwww yeah! The UK ad says August, any chance we in the states might get it around the same time or is Sept. more feasible?
