Does anyone know if the keyless chucks on all the 1/2″ 18v and 20v cordless drills are interchangeable? Can you simply remove one and replace it with one from a different model? If you read my other post you’ll know we’re I’m going with this question.
I don’t think they are fully universal but I could be wrong. I don’t think a 3/8 drill will fit a 1/2 chuck. Maybe go to Jacobs drill chucks website and see if they list the compatibility of their chucks.. if the two you want to swap are on the same list for one of their chucks then it should probably work
Yes, most will be interchangable and use a 1/2 – 20 spindle. The ones that are not, you will not see the LH screw that holds the chuck in the parts diagram
