I wonder what is the difference between this and the DWS780/782. No XPS, but what else?

Hmm…it looks like the vertical cut capacity is a lot less than the 780. Also it shed a few pounds from the 780. It must be a watered down version for the budget conscious.

If I had to bet this is the 782 with the XPS?

This isn’t a “new saw” it’s just the “affordable” saw that you’ll see on sale around Fathers Day and Xmas.

I seen the 782 drop pretty low during Christmas I wonder what the price is gonna look like

I don’t believe so, DWS709 is the budget model going forward. At least until we change it again

That kinda sucks the new saw is cut back a lot compared to the 782. If you want a value Dewalt miter I would grab a 782 if you can find a deal.

DR on Black Friday they were 299$ and then I heard somewhere they drop to $199 but I didnt c it myself though
