Wow cool find!! We can’t post it on the main page Dewalt doesn’t like that, but its fine on the forum you might want to save and post the photos on the forum It probably won’t last long online
oh I’ve been waiting for this im in
Does this mean we’ll be getting a 7.25 circular saw too?
FINALLY. And that thing looks SWEET. Saves pictures for posterity. XPS. Positive stops. Built in handles that actually look functional (looking at you DWS780).
Only thing it doesn’t do is dual bevel.
Awesome stuff AmSup and welcome to forum too!
Very nice find!! Wow XPS system , 150 cuts on 2×6’s and only 30lbs SWEEEET!!!

They probably did that to keep the weight and size down. A 10″ blade would have been really cool but either way a cordless miter saw is pretty dang awesome. Are they running the batteries in parallel or series? Because its marketed as a 20 volt tool not a 40v
I just was going to save the stat’s also

Wasn’t this teased in a video clip like 4 years ago?
Thanks for posting stats DR! I’m starting to get that worm fuzzy feeling back like the first time I first started buying into Dewalt which is bad cus I’m not done paying my credit card off yet!!!!
I think it was DR……sad…..but hey atleast it’s on the HD websight now.DR99 wrote:

The one I saw was like 4 months I think, but yea a long time coming…
For $400 the only thing else I’d ask for is a standard 5ah battery. Taking what is surely one of the most if not the most demanding tool in the lineup and giving it a 3ah is kind of silly IMO. Even the $200 blower is coming with a 5ah…
thats a pretty cool saw
Oh my bad what I though was another battery was the motor housing. I don’t think Dewalt ships anything with 3.0ah batteries anymore unless its a special value product. All the regular sku’s are 4.0ah now. You will find 3.0ah kits but that’s just old stock.
I wish Milwaukee would bring their miter over also they use an 8 1/2″ blade. http://www.milwaukeetool.eu/powertools/cordless/m18-sms216/
I remeber seeing that one somewhere here, That’s a nice one also
kinda looks weird haha
Wow this Looks good shame the handle isn’t more like the 777 tho.
Hey DR, is that the one that’s available in Europe?DR99 wrote:

Man, that’s a sick looking saw,,, love it
Awesome! That thing looks good. Liking the integrated handles, 7-1/4 blade size, XPS light.
Just waiting for the first to complain it’s not brushless 😉 (or is it)
so cool! i cant wait till its out, i hope soon!!
Wait a minute…this looks like a AINA and not a NAINA. Europe isn’t always first 😉
Holy smokes! AINA and NOT NAINA ???????? Alright!

Bout time!

You’re confused? You know where I got those abbreviations from…. a certain ownersgroup… 😉
AINA = available in North America / NAINA = not available in North America. People there throw them when Festool here launches a new tool and there’s no sign of a US release till date.
Just need a date for the 2nd fix gun now!!
thanks mr. yellow for clearing up that unknown word 😛
Team green and their abbreviations…. pffffff 😛
I’m in love!!! Fairly inexpensive considering.
Freaking awesome! The 30lb weight is perfect for portability. The small blade should lend itself to very minimal if any blade deflection. The XPS is a great feature for that saw. If it’s brushless and ships with the 4 or 5 amp this may hit my punch out tools.
Also you can get cheap blades anywhere with that size.
Man I can’t wait to check this out.
It’s about time maybe this means the rest of the new tools will be out soon
This saw would be a nice addition to the Ultimate tool bag giveaway

I think that is such a huge plus for it. Even high tooth count blades would be cheap!
Kinda nifty, I like it.
WTF is with not giving a 5AH battery at that price point??

Just reading the model number off the page. Matches the 3.0ah battery. DCB200.

Bummer hope they change that but they might be doing that to keep the price down. Who knows what will happen this is all so new and not officially confirmed yet.
It’s shipping with the 4.0 Ah battery, it’s a typo on HD website.
How about a release date??? Gator888??? and for that matter WHEN will it be coming to the UK??? The cat is out of the bag now you might as well spill the rest!!
I can’t say, sorry!

Shipping when?

Can you even narrow it down or are you forbidden to do that too? 6mo? Year?
Dan made mention of a DeWalt event later this year on the video but I don’t recall seeing anything about it on the boards, anyone know when this is supposed to happen?
Hugh Jass wrote:

If it’s on HD.com it must be soon.
cant wait for Dan and Eric to get there hands on it for a review :}
The latest video is a discussion about it. I want action! Cannot wait myself!
One other thing I forgot about is that it would be nice if it was both corded and cordless, the option to interchange would be invaluable for a mobile operation like I run where some days a few cuts is all I need and others I’m set up for a week in the same location.
I know this doesn’t seem to look that way but I don’t know why more tools don’t come with an option to do both these days.
looks to be a really nice saw..
the price point is incredible, the Makita that has been out for a while now is around $600 and thats without a battery!! hopefully this is a kick in Makitas but to maybe redesign or at least drop the price point of their saw. competition is always a good thing.
the brushless question definitely does pass through my mind.. i doubt it is or else they would have plastered it all over the saw and listing on home depot.. also, am i correct in saying that Dewalt doesn’t have a brushless saw yet? maybe they haven’t gotten the tech right yet or cant get the cost down.. thats probably a big contributing factor to why the price is as good as it is.
nothing wrong with brushed tools though, they are great tried and true motors that can kick out just as much bang as most brushless motors.. anyone buying this probably has a load of batteries already so run time really shouldn’t be an issue..
