Ultimate Tool Bag 6

Stoked to see what they are bringing to the table this time around. So amazingly awesome that they even do this to begin with.

Id like to see a Rockwell Jawhorse or something similar.

Same here man, I live Hawaii. They already mentioned that they wouldn’t ship to anyone in Hawaii, it’s all good though. I’m not here for free hand outs. I just enjoy all the tool talk, I live with my wife and my mother in law, too much estrogen in the house until my son gets a bit older

torontotoolmanMember since May 2015

It’s comforting knowing that you are not the only one in the boat, lol

Can we get one of the Milwaukee 46in tool chest? They are showing up at HD and I must say they are a nice chest! soft/self closing draws, built in handle for the top cover, with power strips on top under the cover and on the side, plus the large lower draws open the entire way!

Ultimate Tool Chest 7?

True Dan and a Eric always give away great stuff. No way the winner will be disappointed in what is in the UTB.

Patrick FithianMember since May 2015

I’ve been watching the “Ultimate Tool Bag” giveaway for many months now, and at first I was excited that they said new items would be added as the deadline approached.  I guess I was thinking that stuff would be added on a regular basis, but nothing new since March.  Don’t get me wrong, I would be happy winning what is already in the giveaway, but I don’t know that I would call it ULTIMATE. To rise to that level, you almost need to include tools of just about every type.  Here’s just a starter list:

Screw drivers, wrenches (open / box / combo / flair nut / offset / ignition / adjustable / Allen / Torx ), several types of pliers (slip joint / locking / needle nose / conduit / pipe / lineman), wire strippers, multi-meter / amp meter, bolt cutters, sheet metal tools, several types of hammers, chiles, files, various measurement / leveling and layout tools, safety glasses, ear protection, several types of saws, trowels, nail sets, crimp tools, swaging tool, various sockets and drivers, nut drivers, tamper driver bit set, fish tape, pipe benders, drill bits, pry bars, caulking gun, router………….

RickyMcGrathMember since Oct 2014

Getting closer and closer. I’m getting stoked. Knowing Dan & Eric, this one will be EPIC! Each one gets better and better!

FazzmanMember since Apr 2014

Got the email with the video for UTB6,looks awesome so far. Some useful things.

Good luck to all.

FazzmanMember since Apr 2014

Im interested in that new Bosch 12v jigsaw.

Yeah Tekton is amazingly good for the price.I have a fait amount of Tekton sockets in the arsenal, they can get beat up and still hang in there.their customer service is top notch too. Yeah I wouldnt mind a cordless circular for small quick things around the house.

Also found it interesting they swapped to a slighlty smaller air compressor which I totally need.

Would be a nice to win

Patrick FithianMember since May 2015

Throw in some of the new Dewalt tools that were just shown on Facebook.  The new Tough System radio / charger is a wonderful idea.  The new 20V band saw and rod cutter would sure be helpful on the electrical job site.  Not sure yet what to think about the Bluetooth batteries, but I’d like to try one of them as well.

DR99Member since Nov 2012

The threaded rod cutter really surprised me. I though Milwaukee would have a tool like that before Dewalt.

Legacy909Member since Jun 2015

Wow these bags sound great..

77Ford01Member since May 2015

Just glad I have a chance to win……I do have a chance, right? Lol

The Milwaukee job site radio has joined the giveaway…..

pmiller383Member since Jul 2014

That radio looks awesome, love to see more and more tech getting integrated into some of these jobsite radios.

hahaha lets be real I wont win this one… but they should do an ultimate toolbag for Canadians exclusively. then maybe a European one? its a nice thought at least. still would love to win this one!

BarrythehandymanMember since Jun 2015

It’s hard to believe that there are so many tool freaks out there like me.  I do small handyman jobs to make a few extra bucks and I always go straight to Lowes to see what new tool I can buy with it.   Maybe someday I’ll have all the new tools and I can save some of that money to buy flowers for my wife…..yeah right!

You seem like a nice fella Chewie, I think it would be awesome if you won. But in all honesty, I think the person who should win this giveaway, should be somebody who has very few tools, or none at all. Think of the giveaway as a starter kit, all the tools one needs to handle tasks around the home. If somebody already has say 500 tools, it really wouldn’t be right them winning, know what I mean.

I 100% agree with you, I just cant help but want to win it lol I do have my fair share of tools and a lot of them have come from family who were in the business and have gotten away from doing all the work themselves, so since I am the only “up and comer” they call me up and ask if id like some tools. they are all older and have seen better days but they work and they work fairly well. im in the market for a good air compressor right now and from what I hear rolair compressors are top notch and well worth the money.

if I don’t win I wont be too upset because I know that in time I can purchase the tools I need when I need them, I might need to work a little harder to get the money is all. nothing wrong with some sweat equity right?

RickyMcGrathMember since Oct 2014

UTBG 6 is filling up pretty nicely!

YES! I am so glad they added the Bosch dardevil holesaws, they were well reviewed by the pro’s, and I need a good set of quality holesaws. The ones I got right now, the teeth will strip going through metal.

those are some tools I don’t have.. hole saws, I just bought the daredevil spade bits 10 piece kit for 20 bucks at HD but the hole saws are a whole much more expensive and I haven’t totally needed them yet I just get by with other tools if I can.

chewie17Member since Apr 2015

PROTOOLNUT wrote:

I have used holesaws to install door knobs and deadbolt kits. I have also used holesaws to install piping and duct work. And I also remember making holes to feed a thick 14 gauge cord through a wall. Nothing bothers me more though when I need to make a hole in metal, and the holesaws won’t cut through metal, but I need a hole bigger then 1/2, but don’t have a metal bit larger then that. And then you find out your out of metal saw blades for your jigsaw, so you don’t even have that option. lol

well ive never had that problem that I can recall… I mean theres times I go **ck I wish I had bought that set that was on sale the week before and have to pay full price but then I look at the clearance table and pay for a Milwaukee AC/DC M18 charger for $30 because someone had opened the package didn’t like it and returned it? fits my budget better than the regular $100 lol

chewie17Member since Apr 2015

I don’t really work with metal (thankfully). ive done some metal roofs and for those holes i.e vent stack, I use one of 2 methods to start the hole; a metal bit about 1/2″ like you stated above or I take the claw of a hammer, then use tin snips to get the hole to size.

I know that you couldn’t possibly use tin snips for thick gauge metal however that’s my main experience with metal.

I agree with the toolnut statement though! ive been ever so seriously looking at that bosch glide saw for garage because it saves some space however im waiting for the price to drop, or dewalt to come out with a similar glide so I can get it with the XPS? (the shadow light on the blade) feature. but I do what we all do, mash up the best features of all the brands and saw god I wish (insert favourite company here) would come out with that this year! but they never do…. ah well just means we have to buy multiples to get the best feature for a job we might only do a few times a year hahaha

RickyMcGrathMember since Oct 2014

How about a Roboreel?! That would be an awesome addition!

Hey Chewie, just curious, what do you use to cut holes in metal larger then 1/2? I have a commercial Irwin twist bit set that has bit sizes ranging from 1/16 to 1/2, and its an awesome set. I have never really seen a twist bit larger then 1/2 though, and because of that, I always assumed pro’s use the metal holesaws to cut larger holes. Of course when your drilling through wood, thats a whole different ball game, you could use a 1″ or 2″ auger bit instead of a holesaw. Provided what your drilling is less then 2 and a quarter inch hole.

Yeah thats happened to me, where you want a tool that is on sale, you choose not to get it, then later wish you did when you needed it. The only difference between you and me is that I charge on credit, where as you smartly wait till you have enough money, then buy. But were still cut from the same cloth, we need tools, and then we got tools, lots of them. And that is the story about how we became toolnuts lol

To go larger than 1/2″ you need whats called a silver and deming drill. They have 1/2″ diameter shanks and can be easily found in many sizes.

The good ones are not cheap thou. You can get them with drill chuck flats on the shank so they dont spin in your chuck too.

I just think it’s awesome that the guys do these Ultimate Tool Bag Giveaways. To me it’s unbelievable and whoever wins this is really going to be able to knock out some jobs.

PeteWMember since Aug 2014

a week and half away and this toolbag has some great stuff in it cant wait for the fourth to see who wins!

RickyMcGrathMember since Oct 2014

I’m pretty excited! July 4th is going to be a great weekend for some lucky person!

I’m wondering if Dan & Eric will figure out a way to do it bigger than the UTBG5. I don’t expect a week of giveaways, but maybe a few smaller giveaways to a few people in addition to the UTB.

pmiller383Member since Jul 2014

I didn’t realize how close this was already! I just bought my first house and could definitely use that compressor and dewalt kit! Good luck to everyone entered, this is going to be an awesome package for who ever wins.

TacticianMember since Jun 2015

This is by far one of the most exciting giveaways I’ve seen for tools. Whoever wins is going to be a lucky tool nut!

northlyndonMember since Jun 2015

This is a serious tool haul.

After buying our first house… we relized how lacking our tool collection really is.  Thankfully my wife and I have been fixing that error.  (If she only  knew lol)  We could really use some good tools and would love to be entered in the tool bag give away.  We are over 18 and live in the US 🙂  – Also – love the videos – You guys crack me up with your HFT buys.
