Does anyone know if dewalt is going to update the 18 volt nailers, I got a 20v framing nailer and love it!!! Just wish they would update the finish nailer to a 20v…

Samuel L.Member since Sep 2014

Its coming soon.

Kegger1986Member since Dec 2014

Kegger1986Member since Dec 2014

Back to this 20v finish nailer, how long to you think before it comes out?? Hoping real soon.

Kegger1986Member since Dec 2014

Do you think that is…..

DR99Member since Nov 2012

Lets just say there were images of a 3d printed prototype up on the forum a few days ago. It looked like a 16ga finish nailer. They were asked by Dewalt to remove the photos.

Oh so that’s what it was I only saw the topic and no pictures.

I feel like it will be released sometime early in 2015 or at least by the end of spring.

Kegger1986Member since Dec 2014

Thanks for the info boys!!

BigmikezMember since Jun 2013

Hopefully 2015 will be good for the black and yellow team 🙂

RickyMcGrathMember since Oct 2014

It will be out soon.

chadlanthierMember since Mar 2013

Been hearing soon for a while now. The suspense is killing me.

Kegger1986Member since Dec 2014

I also wish Dewalt would come out with a 20v screw gun like the senco…

RickyMcGrathMember since Oct 2014

The new cordless drywall gun is supposedly going to offer a collated attachment.

Kegger1986Member since Dec 2014

O my god!! My prayers have been answered!!

Kegger1986Member since Dec 2014

Also on my wish list, some kind of work table that uses their miter saw stand… Any luck on that one??

I feel the reason there taking so long is they might be trying to make it brushless like the framing nailer.

It gets better It has a brushless motor too.

There was a form on it a while ago we even got some pictures of it.

Kegger1986Member since Dec 2014

Come on spring time!!!

Kegger1986Member since Dec 2014

I’ve seen that picture before. I’m gonna borrow your idea Jules. Could use that as I’ve always having stuff sitting on the stand (and falling off way too often!)

chadlanthierMember since Mar 2013

Yep I have a few of those brackets hanging around need to use them.

RickyMcGrathMember since Oct 2014

Very nice. I’ll prob be stealing that idea as well. I don’t use that stand as often because I have the rolling miter stand. I do plan on ordering the work stands which accomodate those brackets. I have an extra set or two laying around.

Great idea!

I want that.

Anyone know if they are going to do a 20v brad nailer as well?

The brad nailer is on its way its just that Dewalt just is taking their time to release it.

chadlanthierMember since Mar 2013

I would definitely snatch up a sander and 20v planer as well. My cord gets devoured running along that sharp wood.

AJBMember since Sep 2013

Any update on a release date for the finish nailer, desperate for the new 20v machine

ChrisKMember since Dec 2012

You know Rossi, there is such an important area that is often overlooked by the pro and the hobbyist alike. A proper beverage holder next to you power tool…..this one is for you Mr. I thought of a way to keep a hot (or ice cold seasonal Sam Adams) beverage next to my high powered cutting machine while maintaining a stoic look and admitting the girls walking by Guy……this one is for you!

ChrisKMember since Dec 2012

Seriously….really cool idea you have there.

Rtorres092382Member since Sep 2014

I hate bringing up this old topic yet but can anyone share any new information on the nailer? I’ve got a bookshelf that I need to build in a month but can push it back a bit if I know this is coming.

Kenneth DenmarkMember since Jun 2014

It will be there in August ~ September this year

Rtorres092382Member since Sep 2014

Thanks KWC! You’re a gentleman and a scholar.

Rtorres092382Member since Sep 2014

Small follow up KWC. Any chance you can divulge potential pricing?

Kenneth DenmarkMember since Jun 2014

That will be a “Nope!”

Rtorres092382Member since Sep 2014

Thanks again KWC. It’s just in time for my birthday so I went ahead and told my wife. You’re not her favorite person right now 🙂 jk

I have to rant. Too bad I love Dewalt so much, they sure do drag their ass when it comes to releasing a tool they ALREADY HAVE just to fit a different battery. I’m sure other upgrades will be made, but there’s nothing wrong with the 18v version that’s been out forever already, 6 YEARS…actually, while the 20v line has been out for 4 years. You’d think they’d be a little more pressured to bring out some more goods by now to get the 18v line fully upgraded already to 20v. I understand expanding into other areas to compete is important (such as the hand tool and their outdoor landscaping series) but I can’t understanding leaving people in limbo for 2 completely different battery systems for so long. I need this tool badly and can’t stomach having multiple brands either and investing a ton of money elsewhere. I know I’m just being winy but I really don’t understand.

Jules, I am making a work table for my miterstand, but wondered what size holes you drilled to hold your impact driver and drill?

I checked today, and they are 76mm Dia.. Seems a bit big, but they are perfect for the coffee cup side of things… In all honesty, the hole are a little big, but they seem to work OK when there is a screwdriver bit, or drill bit in the Drills.. Personally I would go 50mm for the drills if I made another one…

Thing is, do you drill for one or two coffee cups…lol…

Mr. YellowMember since Jan 2011

Thanks for looking! I tried it out a few days ago, but already agreed with 76 being too big 😉

I got the table ready, just adding some stuff. I’ve settled on a different method though so I have more usable ‘work’ space.

Gonna make 2 of these and screw them underneath the table…

This is the table so far…

I’ve got a feeling my table is gonna get some re-working soon… Nice Job there Mr Yellow…

Here’s another version for you……

Mr. YellowMember since Jan 2011

Cheers. I’ve seen that version too. Thought about it, but I like the PVC model better. Mainly also because of the lack of space underneath due to the charger (and I have some black PVC coming in tomorrow).

Have some other ideas as well for a support to place my radio. This is turning into a project and all I wanted was a little surface to throw some small tools that otherwise sit on (and repeatedly fall off) the miter stand itself…haha…
