I have a friend who has to rip down his old railroad ties and put up a new retaining wall. I told him cinder blocks might be better this time, since asthetics is not important. Does anyone have any feedback on comparing the durability of the 2 different methods?
Personally I like railroad ties. Everytime I see the blocks, they are always cracked. I know I am not much help, but thats just my opinion.
Hey, I am finally getting back to this forum because I have to buildthis wall befoe fall! So thank you for your input!
