Currently looking to up grade from a Kobalt 18v. NiCad set, was considering going brushless. Came across this Makita set and wanted your opinions or other options.
Thanks
That’s an improvement over the kobalt set for sure and that’s a great deal for what you get when you consider the circular saw
That’s a great price. I’m not real high on Makita’s cordless line at the moment, mostly because of their lack of effort in keeping up with the competition, but that is a great price.
All things considered, I had that circular saw at one point several years ago and it was actually a pretty decent saw. I haven’t tried those brushless tools but I know the hammer has a ratcheting plastic chuck and not a huge amount of torque. The Impactor is a single speed but again, I haven’t used either one of those and I base this simply on reviews.
With Fathers Day coming up I think I am going to hold off to see if other manufactures will have similar deals.
Yeah it’s a good deal because it has the circular saw. Now if it was a 3 speed impact driver and their heavy duty brushless hammer drill then it would be great even without the saw

Looks like that is an option for $20 more.
